sorry for not keeping up with my upload schedule, here's some shit fluff to make up for it!! <3
All Cas wanted was to make his husband a nice pie while he was out for their wedding anniversary. But, sadly, Cas forgot he didn't know how to bake.
The kitchen was a mess. Rejected pie crusts piled on the counter, each with rips and cracks in them. The small kitchen was decorated with flour. Flour covered the floor, the multiple cabinets. Cas somehow managed to get some on the ceiling. It seemed that flour was everywhere. but in the ingredients bowl where it was supposed to be in. Cas wasn't sure what happened, or how it happened. He did know that this thing he was making, wasn't a pie.
Why did Dean's favorite food have to be the most difficult thing to bake? Cas thought, messily wiping flour and pie filling on his apron. His apron was a beautiful mess of colors and ingredients. It shouldn't be possible to make this much of a mess while making one single pie. Bakers can do. Why can't I? Cas pouted, crossing his arms over his chest in frustration.
Dean would be home any second, only to find a mess, not the perfectly baked pie Cas wanted to bake him. Cas groaned in frustration, putting his face in his hands, accidentally rubbing sugar and flour on his face.
"I should've just bought pie..." Cas mumbled, then remembered what happened last time he tried buying a pie, and ended up threatening the store clerk when he said there was no pie left.
Cas just wanted to make his husband happy on their anniversary by making a simple pie. It turns out this baking thing is much harder than he thought. Nearly impossible.
At this point, he tried making the dessert so many times, he ran out of ingredients. He even bought extra in case he messed up. Which he did, a lot.
The timer on the oven rang, causing Cas to jump. He had forgot he had another pie in the oven. He dashed over to the oven, first putting on his oven mitts, and opened up the oven. Steam raised out, blowing into Cas' face. The angel coughed, waving off the smoke, and slid the pie out of the stove.
It looked like shit. Cas groaned, staring at the burnt, black pie in front of him. Was a pie this hard to bake? You just have to make the crust, which, thinking know, Cas should've bought instead of making it from scratch, and you just cut the apple, add some shit, and cook it. But, the angel couldn't complete this mildly difficult human task.
Cas heard the front door squeak open, and he cursed under his breath when he heard Dean's boots clunk on the wooden floor.
"Hey, babe. Sorry I'm late for our anniversary. Work was a bitch to-" Dean stared at his husband, covered in flour and sugar, standing in the middle of the kitchen with an innocent grin on his face.
The angel smiled, and rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. "Uh, surprise. I attempted to make you a pie, but it didn't work as I planned. I'm sorry, Dean."
"Don't apologize. Pie is pie, I'm sure it'll taste better than it looks." Dean reassured, cupping Cas' face in his hands.
Staring lovingly at his husband, Cas laughed. Dean picked up a fork he found on the counter, and stabbed the pie, rather brutally Cas must add, and shoved it in his mouth.
Dean spat the food out immediately. He grimaced. "Yeah, Cas, babe, I love you... but that is the worst pie I've ever had. And that's saying something, because I love pie." The green-eyed man laughed, doubling over in laughter.
"Hey! Don't make fun of my pie!" Cas joked. Dean shook his head, amused. Swiftly, he swiped at some flour on the counter with his finger, and wiped the powdery substance on his husband's face.
The angel gasped jokingly, and did the exact same thing to Dean. Wiping flour on his perfectly clean face.
In retaliation, Dean took ahold of the bowl filled with the leftover ingredients, and dumped it all over Cas.
"Dean!" The angel yelled, frustrated, yet thrilled. Cas was covered head to toe in flour, cinnamon, and whatever other ingredients you need for an apple pie. Cas giggled, taking a chunk of flour from his hair and throwing it on Dean's face.
Hurriedly, Cas snatched the bowl from his husbands grasp, and poured the rest on his husband's head, drenching him in the mix of components for the pie. Dean grinned, and rubbed sugar out of his eyes.
He sighed, and grabbed onto Cas' face, rubbing in the flour. "I love you, so much," he sighed happily.
Cas presses his lips against Dean's, mixing flour, sugar, and cinnamon, in their kiss. Dean's lips tasted like pie, as did Cas'. It was a beautiful, sweet kiss filled with love. Dean didn't need a pie to know Cas loved him, because he already knew.
They broke the kiss, and Dean chuckled at Cas' face. They both looked like messes, so Dean couldn't laugh, but god did Cas look beautiful like this. Dean sighed and kissed Cas again, smiling into the kiss.
"Happy anniversary."
