✧ Intro:
Now, what does "being in a broom closet" mean?
Some witches choose to (or are forced to) keep their practise a secret.
The disapproval of their family, or just the need to be a bit private can affect their decision.❝I know it sucks, like, a lot - but it'll get better.❞
✧ How to keep your practise a secret:
As for altars, you can keep a small, travel altar in a shoebox. It could have all the things you need, just smaller:
- tealight candles
- matches
- an altar cloth
- small bags with herbs
- tiny crystals
- incense conesTry to write off your practise as a hobby - maybe you just like growing plants, you kinda like the smell of incense & the look of candles, crystal are 'aesthetic', etc.
✧ Broom closet tips:
You can hide sigils in your phonecase, wallet, on the back of your watch, in a notebook...
When you're drinking your morning coffee/tea, stir it clockwise to bring something into your life (happiness, health, money, love...), or counterclockwise to get rid of something (negativity, anxiety...)
Meditate in your room.
Go outside, enjoy the nature around you.
Keep a dream journal and record everything you can remember when you wake up - this is a good (and subtle) way to find the meanings to your dreams.
Use playing cards instead of a tarot deck!
✧ Outro:
Keep safe - this too will end.
Next chapter: sigils
