Intro:

Sigils are a very discreet & easy way to practise, so they're perfect for baby witches.

What are sigils?

A sigil is a symbol with a specific meaning and/or intent.
They're widely used by witches, and are a big part of many people's practise.

Choosing your intent:

When you have a positive statement, for example:

"I am healthy.",

Try to keep negative words away, like:

"I don't eat junk food",

because they can mess up the energy and intent. Try something like:

"I remember to drink water daily."

Also, try to keep your intent short and sweet - straight to the point.
Avoid using words like "I want to...", "I need to...", "I wish that I...".
Using these kinds of words means that you have a lack of something, and that's what you're sending out to the universe.
Act as if you already have that something, like "Luck follows me wherever I go".

Drawing the sigil:

Pictured above I have the way that I draw sigils which I've been using for about two years.

Many people also erase vowels from their intent and then use the leftover letters in their sigils.

Some just doodle and try to find a symbol they like - this is mostly favored by artistic people.

The more you practise, you'll get the hang of them and maybe even create your own way of making sigils.

Charging the sigil:

You charge your sigils so that you can "set off" their intention.

There are many ways to do this:
- anointing with oils
- burning them
- leaving them with crystals, etc.

Where you can put them:

- in your phonecase
- on your shoes
- in notebooks
- on clothing tags
- on keychains
- carve them on candles
- draw them with lotion when you're putting it on (or with makeup)

Outro:

Remember to set a good intent and have fun practising!
