I apologize for this. I didn't reread it but i saw it was already like lengthy enough so uh- enjoy??? if it's ok
"They're back," Javier said questioningly.
"Was that a statement or are you serious?" Maria asked, at the moment she was playing some game with rocks. "Because that sounded like a question."
"No, they're here. They look very irritated, I don't see Al though," he shrugged. Javier was reading a book about ancient civilizations when he noticed them from the window. "Or Pablo, that's..." he thought for a second before he gave up trying to explain what he saw.
"I'll go and check," Maria got up from her spot on the floor in his room and went down to check up on her friends. Upon arriving downstairs, she saw the tense look on Santiago's face and knew something was up.
"Hey so, don't worry about him. Carlos says it's just a side effect of him crashing," he avoided eye contact.
"What? Who crashed? Where's Mex?" She asked, trying to get him to spill the frijoles.
"He died...."
"He wHAT?"
"He's alive again-" Carlos interjected.
"Well of course he's alive again! But where is he?" She was worried now.
"The thing is, I actually don't know. We got into the property and he ran away. I'm sure he's just in his room. But he doesn't quite remember anything."
While Maria began to walk back up to try and find Al, he was laying in bed, staring at the ceiling. He was very set on breaking up with Maria, in fact he was so sure she'd go to his room that he went there immediately.
"Alejandro! What? Why didn't you come downstairs?!" She decided whether he forgot everything or not, him going up all alone was stupid. "Why are you bed? Are you hurt? Come here," she was taking the role of someone who was maybe a bit too over protective.
"So you're Maria?" He looked like he was judging her from the way he was looking her up and down. "I thought you'd be more," he paused to think, "more."
"W-what? More what- no that doesn't matter right now, are you okay?" She asked again, trying not to take his words to offence.
"Why wouldn't I be okay? Come on, are we dating or are you like my mom? If that's all you had to say, then you can leave," he wasn't about to be all nice.
"I'm not leaving Allie, I'll just uh, I'm going to help you remember things okay?" She honestly had no idea how she was going to do that, but one thing's for sure, she couldn't help by leaving.
"Fine," he paused again, then smirked a bit, "you come here then, I can't walk," that was a lie, and Maria knew it, but she played along.
"Okay, but only if you're willing to let me help," she stated as she came over slowly.
"Of course. Why wouldn't I? Sit."
She sat down beside him and looked at him questioningly.
"How old are we Maria?" He asked, basically looking anywhere but her eyes.
"Old. I don't really remember, we're over a hundred though," she explained.
"Oh okay, it's just that I look ten, so I was worried there. Say," he scooted over just a bit, "how old have we been a thing?"
"Around fifty years, why?" She felt oddly uncomfortable around him at the moment.
"Oh that's plenty. Was I a fun guy Maria?" She wanted to lie to make him feel better, but what he needed was the truth.
