'Have mercy,' cried Latte pitifully. It was all she could humanly do to resist the urge to scramble out of the very wet but elegant tub. Despite it being lukewarm, just the feeling of water soaking to her skin made her hair raise—that is, if it wasn't sodden and plastered to her body.

"It's okay, it's okay," soothed Taekwoon from his place kneeling beside the tub, rubbing her fur in gentle circles. "We're almost done. Don't panic." He sighed with a content smile. "Aigo, you're so cute." He planted a small kiss on top of her head.

Latte froze, then shrieked. And all chaos broke loose.

"Latte-yah, come back here!"

You sly man! Latte raced down the hall, leaving a trail of water in her wake. Stop being so affectionate, it's creepy.

She just wanted to hide for a moment, to collect herself. But she wondered if it would even be possible with how passionately Jung Taekwoon was chasing her with a large towel, as wet and battle-weary as he must have become from their fight at the bathtub.

Ah, there's an open door. Latte turned and pelted through the slightly ajar door and dove under the nearest piece of furniture she could find.

"Latte! Latte, come out from under there," said Taekwoon, getting on the floor and bending down to peer at her under the armchair. His voice was unusually more serious, almost a little alarmed or panicked.

'Why? What's so special about this chair?' Latte shivered from her still-damp fur but didn't budge. 'Or is it the room?' She crouched down where she was and surveyed whatever of the room she could see.

What she did see made her jaw drop.

'What is this nonsensical optical bombardment, Jung Taekwoon-ssi?' She squinted at a couple of canvases lining the floor, leaning on the walls. Wild lines and bright colors commanded the spaces, going in all different directions that she couldn't understand. Then the large, trademark signature in the bottom-right corner of both canvases caught her eye.

'Leo?' She glanced back at Taekwoon, who was gesturing at her urgently and murmuring soft encouragements to coax her out. He didn't strike her as an extraordinarily rich guy, much less an abstract art enthusiast. 'How'd you afford two Leo paintings? Wow, that's awesome. Maybe it would be better to keep living as his cat if he's this loaded.'

She slid back into the open. Immediately, she was enveloped in a large, fluffy towel and was rubbed dry vigorously before Taekwoon picked her up again.

"Silly Latte. You shouldn't be so naughty."

Latte nosed her face out of the towel and her eyes widened like saucers as she took in the rest of the room she couldn't see before.

'No way!' She craned her neck to look back before Taekwoon carried her out of the room and shut the door. 'Fifteen, no, twenty Leo artworks! This guy must be rolling in money. Cool!'
