But what does he do that makes him so rich? Latte eyed the apartment again after Taekwoon let her go once she was mostly dry. Everything was a little cluttered, but all of his furniture and décor was tasteful and looked as though they were high quality. His TV was probably the latest model with unimaginable smart features.

Model? With his good looks, he could easily be the star of photoshoots and the runway, but somehow that didn't seem right. Perhaps it was in the manner he held himself.

Athlete? She sized Taekwoon up from where he was crouching with his back to her in a corner of the kitchen. Nah. From a glance, he didn't look too athletic. He was practically out of breath earlier when he ran back from the store with cat feed.

Could he be . . . a CEO? Latte banished the idea immediately. His personality . . . there was no way.

'There are other rich jobs out there,' she muttered. Not that it really mattered to her. Not that everything about being human now felt interesting to her.

"Latte," said Taekwoon, turning from his kneeling position. He motioned with a hand. "Come here, Latte."

'What now?' Latte fought the urge to roll her eyes. 'So demanding.'

Taekwoon sighed and walked over when she didn't budge, picking her up gently and carrying her into the kitchen. He set her down by a plastic box with a tall, clear roof over it.

Oh.

"This is your litter box," he said. "It's a good thing I still had it from that last time when I almost bought a cat. Go to the bathroom here, okay?" He patted her head. "Got it?"

'Do you really think cats can understand you?' Latte scoffed, sending him a slightly condescending gaze. 'You seriously got lucky that you probably picked up the only cat in the world who understands humans.' She glanced inside the litter box. 'Hey! It's empty, silly. Don't you need some litter to absorb my urine or something?'

As though he were just thinking the same thing, Taekwoon went, "Ah!" and grabbed a newspaper off his kitchen table. He barely glanced at it before he began tearing it into strips.

'Goodbye, Sage Daily,' meowed Latte dryly as the man began lining the box with the shredded paper. 'You have served a noble purpose.'

"There," said Taekwoon, nodding in satisfaction at his work. "That'll do for now." He sat on the floor next to Latte, silent for a while.

Suddenly, he said, "I know you're just a cat, but I thought it would be good to make a confession since we're going to live together."

Latte straightened, ears perking up in excitement. 'Ooh, what's the tea? I wanna know.'

"Well," Taekwoon hesitated. "How do I say this?" He bit his lip.

'Tell me, tell me! I'm dying to actually hear something interesting.' Latte held her breath, staring at the man in expectation.

"The thing is . . . I'm an artist."

'Huh? Then how are you so rich? Shouldn't you be living somewhere run down instead of here then?'

". . . A really famous one, but no one knows that. In the art world, I go by Leo."

'What?!'
