There are still no clues on the whereabouts of X University student Kang Dahye, or who kidnapped her over a month ago. Miss Kang, who is studying for a degree in fashion and models for an up-and-coming clothing brand, told her family and friends that she was going on vacation by herself to Jeju Island for two weeks earlier this summer. They suspected something was wrong when she did not return. She did not contact anyone she knew, nor post pictures on her social media during her trip's duration, which people who know her well say is unusual for Miss Kang.
Investigators have revealed that Miss Kang was most likely abducted before she could leave for Jeju Island, as reviewed CCTV footage show her being dropped off at Gimpo International Airport, but she cannot be seen in any cameras soon after. Her luggage and other belongings were found abandoned on the same day by the airport staff but were not considered important by them until Miss Kang was reported missing.
However, there were two masked men in dark clothing seen pushing a luggage case that appears large enough to hold an adult out of the airport. They are currently the police's primary suspects but have not been identified as of now.
Miss Kang's classmates are holding a candlelight vigil on Friday evening at 8 PM in front of X University's campus for her safe return.
