When Lena's feeling up to it she agrees to meet with Lex at the D.E.O., something Alex was not happy about, but he's got some tech and ideas that could be useful.
The bruises on Lena's face haven't healed, but she doesn't bother conceal them. Xander is heartbroken upon the sight of his sister. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry." He touches Lena's face gently, as if he can't believe she's real. She flinches at the touch, whether from the pain of the bruises or the resemblance to Lex, not even she knows. "Lee," he whispers.
"Xander," their childhood nicknames break the tension, and they pull each other into a hug.
"I'm sorry I left you. I missed you, every day." Xander says his eyes lined with tears.
"I always knew something was wrong. I knew you could never do those things." Lena nearly sobs with relief. They hug again. "Okay, enough of this emotional shit," Lena says wiping her cheeks, "tell me about your research."
"There's the workaholic Lena I know and love." Lena let's out a strangled sound that's almost more sob than laugh. They talk about everything, Lena tells him all about LCorp. Xander couldn't be prouder of his little sister. By the time she goes home Lena feels like the hole in her heart is finally starting to heal.

"Thank you." Lena says once she's home and in Kara's arms.
"For what?"
"Being there for me. Believing in me. Loving me."
Kara pulls her into a kiss before responding,"I can't wait to marry you."
