"Sameeksha breakfast karne aa jaao" Ishan shouted from the living room, "Aai Bhaiya" She replied, while drying her wet hair with a towel. Grayson, who was sitting in the living room, saw her coming. There was something in her face that caught his attention.
Probably her long wet hair, or the charm on her face, or her eyes with kajal in them. Manjot caughed a bit, "tujhe kya hua?" Sameeksha asked, Grayson looked away. She smiled at Grayson and sat next to Manjot.
Grayson was still just looking at her, she cocked her eyebrow, "are you okay Gray?" She asked, "yeah" He said looking down embarassed, she bit her lower lip and nodded.
"Aaj tum dono kaha jaa rahe ho?" Ishan asked Sameeksha and Grayson. "Turkman Gate, Razia Sultan ki tomb dekhne" Sameeksha replied. "Me saath chalunga" Abhishek said.
"Koi zarurat nhi hai" Sameeksha said immediately, "let him come" Grayson suggested, "yaar mujhe nhi jaana iske saath" Sameeksha argued. "Accha theek hai, akele chale jaana, par dhyaan se jaana" Ishan said.

"Where is it?" Grayson said as he got out of the auto rickshaw. "Bhaiya yeh Razia Sultan ka maqbara kaha hai?" Sameeksha asked the driver as she paid him.
"Woh gali se seedha jaie, fir daae, fir teesre gali se daae mudiye, fir ek paan vaale ki dukaan aaegi. Waha se baye mudiye, fir ek gate aaega, vahi hai maqbara" He said and left.
"What did he say?" Grayson asked, "he confused me" Sameeksha said walking toward the path showed by the driver. "What do you mean? And where's the tomb?" He asked walking behind her.
"We've gotta find it Gray" She said as she took care of where she was stepping since the path was full of dirt. "Find it? I thought it's gonna be a mausoleum or something?" He said.
"Yeah, that's what I thought" She said and stopped, "bhaisahb, Razia Sultan ka maqbara kaha hai?" She asked a man. "Waha saamne paan wala hai, uski dukaan se baaye jaiye, waha maqbare ka gate milega" The man replied.
She followed the instructions and they reached the end of the passage. "Where's the meqbara?" Grayson asked, "here apparently" She said reading the description of the maqbara on a wall. The looked at the rusty gate and decided to open it.
"Kon hai?" They heard a voice, a man in his 80s came out while cleaning his spectacles with his white kurta. "Baba yeh Razia Sultan ka maqbara hai?" Sameeksha asked politely. "Yehi hai beta, aao" the man said.
Grayson was about to step in when she held his wrist, he looked at her. "Baba yaha masjid hai?" She asked looking at a room where a boy was praying. "Haan beta" the man smiled.
"Joote utaaro" She asked Grayson, he did as she said. "Yeh sar pe baandho" She said giving him a handkerchief, "I don't know how you do it..." he said. She sighed.
She tied the handkerchief on his head and wore a scarf before stepping in the maqbara.
Grayson looked at the two tombs and stopped there, "don't tell me these are the tombs" He said. "These are the tombs Gray" She said. "You must be kidding me" He rolled his eyes. She looked at him.
"First woman ruler of India, probably the most successful one too, and this how they treat her tomb?" He couldn't control himself. "Did you see the dirt on the path that took us here? That rusty gate? The condition of this place? Are you actually fucking kidding me?" He asked.
"Government is maqbare ko bhool chuki hai to ham kya kare?" She asked, "I guess the 133 crores people are enough to take care of this small place" He replied. She looked down.
"I'm disappointed. One of the best rulers you Indians had, and this is how you treat her tomb" He said shaking his head. "Gray..." She said, "leave me alone for sometime" He said looking away.
She went towards the prayer room to talk to the old man. Grayson quietly sat near the tomb.
"Baba yaha koi aata nhi hai kya?" She asked, "40-50 saal pehle boht log aate the beta. Boht maante the Sultana ko, boht safai rakhte the yaha ki. Dheere dheere sab chalte base, ab kisi ko koi fark nhi padhta. Ham se jitna hota hai ham kar lete hai. Baaki na sarkaar ko padi hai, na yaha ke logo ko" He said.
Sameeksha looked at Grayson through the window, his left hand was caressing the rocks that made the tomb.
"Gray" She said, he hummed while trying to wipe a tear that left his eye. "Mene dekh lia" She said, he looked at her, she opened her arms and he hugged her waist.
"Gray..." She said caressing his hair, "you know, to me Razia Sultan was the most interesting ruler of history. I respected her as a human being, her work and she as a person inspired me a lot. Seeing her tomb was one of my biggest dreams" He said.
"I never ever imagined that one day I would find it in this state" She said. "I'm sorry Gray" She said placing her chin on his head.
"No don't be. Actually I'm sorry, it wasn't even your fault and I just...got..." He stopped, "it's okay" She smiled. "It's gonna be dark soon...so..." She said.
"Sure. Give me five minutes, can you please wait outside?" He asked breaking the hug, she nodded and left.
He came outside and they left.
"Kitni garmi hai yaar, nimbu paani pie?" She asked when they were looking for an auto rickshaw. "Sure, mere pass paise sirf auto ke hai, tum pay kar doge?" She asked.
"Actually...my wallet's empty" He scratched the back of his neck. "WHAT?" She asked, "subhah hi to tumhe 2000 rupees aur 500 dollars rakhe the wallet me!" She said.
"Erm...really??" He asked, "oh yeah" He looked away. "I gave them back to E before leaving" He lied, "oh look, auto!" He said running toward an auto rickshaw. Sameeksha was amazed by how much he cared about Razia Sultan's tomb. She smiled and followed him.
