"is everything ready?"

noise echoed the ktv room as shuhua scanned every corner. the food was in place, the decorations were in place, and people are, sort of in place. the only one that was missing was the birthday girl they're waiting.

"where even are they?! i told him to distract her, not to take her on a date!" yeonjun muttered, pertaining to yukhei, who was asked to distract the girl.

it has been days since that date happened, and each one of them witnessed how the two got closer and closer, and somehow sweet.

the other day, they were on a photoshoot. yuqi was only wearing a spaghetti strap along the cold weather, yukhei just gave him her hoodie, which looked so big on yuqi.

the others were pleased to know that yuqi and yukhei got along, but was confused at the unexpected change of the two's relationship. they never expected yukhei to like her, or it is to what it seems, knowing that the latter was still longing for his ex's presence.

the door suddenly opnot d, eyes traveled to two girls smiling widely. mouth's fall seeing a familiar person step in, "doyeon! old hag!" necks whipping to shuhua who was running towards them with a smile, then proceeded to hug them.

shuhua then pulled the two towards the group who were frozen. "guys! these are the people i told you who'll surprise her with us!" the lass cheered, completely not aware of the shocked people infront of her.

"this is doyeon, and this is chungha! they're back from LA, also yuqi's friends." she introduced, looking at the two once more.

doyeon scanned their familiar faces, she knew damn well that they know her too. she sighed and smiled, "nice to see you again." those words made the whole room silent.

processing what was really happening at the moment, they then heard the door opening. two specific people barging in with smiles in their faces.

the smiles then slowly disappeared when they felt the tension in the room.

"yuqi! happy birthday!" the first one to break the silence was doyeon, they eyed her when she walked towards the lass and hugged her tightly.

yukhei's eyes staring at her face, memories and painful promises came back, breaking his heart once again.

"lucas, nice to see you again."
