Chapter 7:

When it rains it pours.

Caseys POV

Waking up to your mothers frantic yelling is one of my least favorite ways to wake up, next to getting water thrown on me, that is. I sit up in my bed and yawn. I glance at my alarm clock. 10:07. really mom. What could be so important that you would be up and yelling. I stand up and sluggishly walk out into the hallway.

James is already down stairs, but Tom's room was blaring music. He better not have snuck out again. I walk over to his door and pound on it with my fists. When he answers I sigh with relief. "What?!" he yells over the loud stereo. I point to is and cross my arms over my chest. He sighs and goes to turn it down when he does; he comes back to the door his eyes widen. "Is that mom?" he asks in disbelief. I nod and we both race down the stairs.

Dad is sitting on the far side of the couch and mom is bent over someone. There are bloody paper towels littering the floor and blood was staring to stain part of the carpet. James walks in the room with some more paper towels. Wait that means-. Crap! I run to the couch and my fear is confirmed, the blood is pouring from Chris's nose. He has a few cuts on his arm and a bruise on his cheek but other then that nothing serious.

"Mom really, I'm fine." He says as she forces another paper towel at him. When he sees me he tries to smile but fails and gets some weird half smile.

"What happened to you?" I demand sitting next to him. He takes the towel from his nose and no more blood falls.

"It's nothing. I was playing football with some of my friends I wasn't paying attention and got tackled. The dude made my nose bleed, I'm fine it's no big deal." He says taking a drink of water. I gawk at him. How could a football game do that? Mom frowns at him.

"I told you that sport was dangerous but, noo you never listen to your mother." She says leaving the room my dad behind her. We all laugh when she's out of hearing range.

"Okay that must have been a sweet tackle!" Tom chokes out between gasps of air. James nods in agreement. I just roll my eyes.

"Boys! I'll never understand them!" I say standing and retreating back to my room so I can go to sleep. They laugh and start talking guy talk. I shut my door and fall into bed petting gizmo as I lull off to sleep. The bad dreams staying away tonight. I hope.

Beep beep! My alarm clock screams at me signaling that its time to get ready for my 3rd day of high school.

I yawn and walk over to my closet and pull out a denim skirt and bright pink fish net tights, a black concert-t and a pink beanie. I curl my hair into big thick curls that spiral down my back and put black eye liner on the bottom. Pink on the top. I throw my phone in my messenger bag then glance in the mirror one last time before meeting my brothers down stairs.

Chris does car pull. "Shot gun!" I call jumping in the front and sticking my tongue out at James and Tom. I turn the radio up loud and  James and I sing obnoxiously to the Britney spears song.

This was our morning thing for the past 2 school days. When we pull up to the school though we all go different ways. Tom to the music kids, James to the football team jocks and Chris to his girlfriend. Me, on the other hand can chose between several groups but I usually go hang with Lilly untill the bell rings.
