Just friends....

birthday and a half

It's Hailey's birthday today and I'm going to take her up to the attic and set up a movie and snacks with fairy lights and blankets.
So I took her up to the attic and I had her favourite movie and snacks,I couldn't stop looking at her, everything just seemed so perfect and seemed to be falling into place. I don't know what she thinks of me yet but afew times I've gone to look at her and I've caught her looking at me with a smile on her face.
We both exchange eye contact for what seemed a lifetime, I get lost in her eyes and the next thing I know her hands are around my waist as she leans in to kiss me. I let her soft lips touch mine, we kissed for a short time. For a short time I felt safe in her arms,I thought nothing could be better.
After the kiss I paused the movie and she apologised and said she didn't mean to but it just happened but she was happy it did. It came time to give her my present and if all went well it would be a good present ......I think, I was going to give her the gift of my heart.
I wrapped her in a blanket and told her to close her eyes as I picked up a haribo ring. I told her to open her eyes, I handed her the ring and asked her if she would be my girlfriend. She brushed the hair behind my ear and placed her hand on my cheek as she looked into my eyes and told me I best her to it.
