Kat’s POV

As the three pairs of eyes examined me, my heart slowly formed a steady beat that allowed my trail of thoughts to begin racing through. What on earth was I going to do? He tried to kill; the amber eyed Reid.

These thoughts were halted and fogged when a pair of arms pulled me up from the wooden floor and into an embrace; that warmed me to the bone with love and lust filled imaginations; at this I definitely knew it was Kayden. As our embrace drifted Reid edged his way over with the girl holding his hand and arm securely; I wondered why he hated me so much that he wanted to kill me?

“I’m sorry about Reid, he’s not used to humans being in the manor” “I’m Demetria by the way” Offering her hand in front of me to shake. I stood frozen. Not ‘human’ what were they? “What are you?” I stumbled back into the wall and felt the cold wallpaper wall against my back. “Kat” it was Kayden’s sweet but calming voice that broke the question that had been lingering in the air. “We aren’t going to hurt you” his eyes looked worried by the actions I had contracted. “What are you?” I said again; still holding my tough, demanding voice, “We are Fallen Angels” as soon as his words had hit me I started to cry and angered boiled in my eyes. “Don’t lie to me!” I never even knew I had screamed but their reaction told me otherwise; as they looked at each other with query filled eyes.

“We are not lying to you Kat” Demetria moved slowly towards me not wanting to frighten me anymore than I already was, “We are Fallen Angels, but not the kind that you have heard through stories or myths”

Then all of a sudden a load blood curdling scream broke through the manor. “They know she’s here” Reid spoke through gritted teeth. “Look Kat we can explain everything to you, but you have to trust us and let us help you get out of here, because those who are coming now are not like us, they will tear you limb by limb on site and it will be a horrifyingly torturous event” I felt tears welling behind my eyelids but I knew they were right; that scream was not human but I knew it had that pure rage coating with murder all on top, what they were saying was right. “I’ll go but please promise me that you will not harm me, I’m begging I don’t want to die” Before I could even think I felt a pair of arms around me, “nothing will happen to you” “Thank you” was all I could say to Kayden’s sensitive touch that bellowed me to do more with him and that sense filled words that made me want to forget everything and just hears his voice forever.

I was lead into the corridor that had many doors like Kayden’s attached to the thick green coated walls; where images of winged men and woman falling from what looked to be clouds. You could hear the rumbling of fast paced feet running along the long corridor as we also began to pace ourselves towards what must be another exit; due to me having no clue where I was being lead. Kayden’s hand never left mine as he made sure to entwine our fingers tightly together; as if to allow us to be together no matter what happens.

Then a man appeared in front of us with what looked to be a knife; he threw it through the air with so much force I never even saw it until it planted its self in my left shoulder. I felt the rush of pain run through my body but no scream left my mouth as I knew it would only make us encounter more like the super soldier in front of us.

But that never stopped the flooding of tears rolling down my cheeks, Demetria flew through the air without more than a simple push of the foot and land on the man’s shoulders; within a blink of an eye she had hooked your fingers under his neck and tore his head clean off, leaving only a dark liquid to flood the floor as his body toppled with a thump to the floor. She chucked the head and motioned us to follow her as she began to run.

My body was then flung into the air and into a pair of arms; I instantly knew it was Reid’s; by the odd vibe that flowed through my skin; as Kayden was grabbing a long sheathed sword from the decapitated man who know I noticed to have been only around twenty. I saw him pacing himself behind us making sure no-one was gaining.

We ran into a car lot and raced towards a Jeep commander; that was luckily situated right by the exit. As we reached the jeep; which I was flung into and placed right next to Kayden, who had joined me whilst Reid rode shotgun with Demetria behind the wheel, the entrance that we had come through now was being an entrance to what looked like hundreds of men and women who were running unpleasantly fast towards us. “Drive!” Kayden screamed as the wheels of the Jeep spun and sped towards the exit. The car halted to a sudden stop; there stood around twenty more men and women with very sharp weapons in their hands; which shimmered against the lights of the ceiling which showed of their sharp edges. I gulped as Demetria said loud and clear “Hold on tight boys and girls” as soon as this was said the jeep lurched into an increasing speed and we drove head into a swarm of armed inhuman beings that had begun to smash into the bumper and bounce of some distance right of the car.

We reached the exit with few cracks and scratches on the window and sped towards the high way.

All I remembered before the my body started to shut down was voices repeating “She’s losing to much blood, she needs a doctor” and then it all went dark; I thought not again.
