Seokjin stayed silent for a moment, thinking as he chewed his food. There's only so much he can chew before he swallows— he might as well start opening up little by little. "Not really."
Concerned, the raven nudged his hyung's hand with his, "why not?"
"I haven't got much of an appetite lately." The blonde admitted, shying away from the eye contact that the younger male was trying to have. He felt Jimin's eyes boring into his soul.
"I won't ask you since we're outside, but when we get back to your home, will you tell me how you've been?" Jimin asked, picking up his cutleries again and shifting his gaze. "No lies."
After listening to the shorter male, Seokjin sighed and nodded his head, "no lying."
Hopefully he doesn't regret this.
They spent some time eating, the two men trying different food combinations when their meal was almost finished. Seokjin had chili on his last piece of syrupy hotcake along with the raven.
"This is stupid, we should just leave it alone. We know it'll taste bad." The blonde said, face scrunching at the combination.
"I know— but we can't back out now." Jimin stabbed the piece with his fork, lifting it up and bringing it to his lips. "I'll eat it with you."
Seokjin gave an exasperated sigh, rolling his eyes a little bit as he took his own fork and jabbed at the abomination of a hotcake.
"Cheers." The both of them bumped their hotcakes as if they were clinking glasses before putting it in their mouth. The blonde chewed quickly, not wanting the taste to linger in his mouth for long. Jimin began to sputter and cough, food still in his mouth.
"Fuck!" Jimin immediately grabbed his bottled water, forcefully downing the contents in his mouth.
Seeing the reaction of the shorter male made Seokjin laugh, hand covering his mouth to avoid any spillage. He hadn't had the guts to swallow his food, tears already congregating in his eyes, "you— idiot!"
They attracted the attention of a few people but they didn't mind it, happily reconnecting in their own tiny bubble. After their foolery, the pair cleaned up their table before exiting the fast-food chain, heading towards the mall right outside McDonalds.
"I still don't like looking like this." Seokjin mumbled as they made their way to the super market, digging changes in his pocket to slot into the trolleys.
"It's early in the morning, no one will care, hyung." Jimin replied as he got his own coin and inserted it into the slot, pulling away the trolley. He hooked his arm with the blonde and began to stroll, "now, what would you need in your home?"
Seokjin looked around for a moment, looking at the aisle signs, "I'm not entirely sure— we can't buy too much."
"Then let's get stuff for a week first." Jimin proposed, Seokjin nodding as he was led around the store. They went through every aisle, joking around sometimes and dumping stuff into the trolley.
