Night came after a few long, boring hours. The more I thought about this situation, the more it seemed like that wasn't Arthur. If Aryn was shoving his nose into my life again. I knew magic was going to cause trouble for me. I did not realize it would thrust me into - what seemed like a battle - between good and evil. Magic and non-magic. I could use my magic to escape, but I knew that wasn't the correct way to handle things. Not if things were to change. A sliver of moonlight lit the straw covering the floor. Murmured conversation took place up the hall. Footsteps strode down the hallway. I stood up when Morgana stood on the other side of the bars.

"You." my voice hissed.

"For someone hailed as the strongest magic user," she paused, "you're rather pathetic."

"Whatever you're a part of I want nothing to do with it. This plot of yours is only going to-"

There was a fire in her eyes. She didn't care about proving magic was not something to fear. Her anger was with Uther, and Arthur. She wanted to rule the kingdom. That much was apparent.

"How did you charm Arthur into bringing me here?" I demanded.

"That was me," Aryn smirked, stepping from the shadows.

"You two are working together?"

"We want what is best for Camelot. And that would be the rightful heir, Morgana."

"What do you mean? I thought Arthur..." my voice trailed off.

"Shows what you know. While some of us have learned our powers, you struggled getting away from some bandits." Morgana laughed. "How many years of your life did you waste?"

How dare she judge me? I wasn't raised with a silver spoon shoved down my throat. Even if I were I hope I wouldn't be so ungrateful for the life I was born into. It boggled my mind that Uther had not suspected her. But she had him wrapped around her finger. Aryn gave a meek smile at me. A rush of anger overwhelmed me. The bars of the cell started to bend. Morgana and Aryn both stepped back. The bars broke from the cement holding them in place. They held in the air for a moment. Then they burst into tiny pieces. Air rushed into them. They slid back hitting the wall. The sharpest pieces of the bar stopping right before piercing through them. Aryn stared ahead, fear in his eyes. Morgana could not even bring herself to look me in the eye. I took one step, that transported me right in front of them.

"I'm not here to join the cause of some whiny girl who's heard the word no for the first time." They each shook as my eyes flashed red. "I want this to be a land of peace. Where magic can exist without persecution. I don't care who is in charge. But I will not let you take this dream away from me or anyone else afraid to practice their magic in the open."

"Where are the guards?" Morgana asked with a hushed tone.

In a blink of their eyes the damage was undone. I stood behind the bars. They were in place. The two looked around the room. They were back in front of the bars. Morgana's face had gone white. Aryn looked impressed how well I was able to control my magic. Beyond that look was fear, he must have realized I wasn't even trying at that point.

"We should take our leave, Morgana." Aryn offered. "She doesn't want any part of this. At least for the time being. Time will bring her to us sooner or later."

Aryn disappeared into the shadows. His feet faded down the darkened hallway. Morgana turned, heading back to where the guards were sitting. Each step hesitant to move at all. It took everything she had not to turn her back to me. When she was out of my line of view, I collapsed onto the ground. My hands were shaking. I only wanted them to know that I was not interested in joining their cause. Then the anger overcame me to the point that I reacted that way. It scared me as much as it did them. Only difference being that I somehow managed to hide it.
Hours earlier, Merlin returned to find Gaius alone at the table. Gaius turned around when the door shut. His face showed that Merlin was not who he was hoping to come through the doorway. Merlin put the dishes away. He walked over to the table.
