tsuyu couldn't help but notice the paranoid expression [last name]'s face held - like a monster would come out of no where and grab her. tsu desperately wanted to check on her, but was afraid she'd come off weird. so she didn't.

it was lunch and tsuyu was sitting with her best friends, all chatting and laughing about what they had done over the weekend. tsuyu was contributing to the conversation, but couldn't help her mind coming back to the quiet girl.

"so, tsu, how's texting— what's her name?" midoriya had begun, but embarrassingly forgot her name.

"you mean [last name]? kero."

midoriya's cheeks flushed, "oh yeah! u-um, hows texting [last name]-san?"

"good, actually. she's more talkative when texting." she replied, thinking of their conversations.

iida cut into the conversation. "are you sure it is right to text a classmate you barely know?

ochako giggled and replied for tsu, "of course it is! why wouldn't it be?"

"well [last name] could get scared if a random number texted her, correct?" iida's bold voice told her, " and from what i've seen of [last name], she seems to be startled easily."

"well, iida, i don't think we can assume much if we do not know her well." todoroki coldly stated.

"well— yes, i guess you're right, todoroki.." iida apologized. "though something seems a little off, if it makes tsuyu happy i suppose i cannot change that."

midoriya smiled slightly at his friends, laughing a bit.

"so are you guys ready for—," ochako got cut off by a bang right behind their table.

the scene before tsu made her heart drop, as she saw a shocked kendo apologizing and a soaked [last name], soaked with spilled milk.

[last name]'s expression was one of horror, as the milk dripped from her hair onto her face, her tears starting to mix in with the milk.

"o-oh! [last name]! i-i'm so sorry! allow me to help you clean up—!" kendo apologized, but [last name] swiftly stood up and ran off.

all the deku-squad shared nervous glances, minus todoroki, who just ate his cold soba, before midoriya spoke up.

"t-that was [last name]-san.. right..?"

tsu's eyes were wide, even more than usual, as her heart sunk to her stomach. [last name] couldn't possibly react positively to this, right? she knew that much about the girl.

kendo rushed over to the table, "y-you're friends with [last name], right? if you see her, please tell her i'm so sorry! i sincerely didn't mean it.."

"kero, sure."

"why can't you apologize?" todoroki asked her.

"well i'm actually in a rush right now, which reminds me.. i'm going to be late—!" she exclaimed before running off.

"what are we going to do? if we say the wrong thing it could upset [last name] even more!" ochako wondered nervously.

tsuyu answered her question, "i'll go talk to her, kero."

"are you sure tsu? we can all go with you." midoriya reassured tsuyu.

"don't worry, she kind of knows me at least.. i think i'd be the the best at talking with her."

"hm, well alright. good luck tsuyu!" iida wished her luck as ochako and midoriya got stuff ready to clean up the spilt milk on the ground.

tsuyu left with a simple nod before standing up from her seat. her heart and mind were racing, she was unsure of where [last name] would be. her feet took her to the classrooms to look, but there was no one in sight there.

maybe in the field? or on the roof? or the washrooms? she was not sure. the school was ginormous, there were too many areas. it was going to be a challenge, but tsu has to push through it.

she hurried up to the roof first, but there was barely anyone up there, except for momo and jirou, who said they had no clue of where [last name] was. (jirou barely knew who that was)

the washroom was her next stop, opening the door, calling out in a hushed voice, "[last name]?"

as she walked in, she saw [last name] against the wall, parts of her hair damp from the milk that had obviously been washed out. areas of her uniform was wet as well.

but what struck tsuyu in the heart the most was the tears that wet her face. [last name]'s eyes were puffy and her nose was slightly red.

"[last name], kendo wanted to apologize for what happened. it was a sincere mistake," tsuyu looked [last name] in the eyes, "she meant no harm."

[last name] averted her gaze, unable to look the green haired girl in the eyes. "s-she doesn't..?"

tsuyu continues looking at the girl with the [hair colour] hair, "she doesn't. kendo didn't mean to bump into you, i promise."

"y-you promise..?"

"yes, kero."

[last name] looked at tsuyu, a small glimpse of a smile resting on her cheeks before it faded away hastily.

"we can go back to my lunch table, you can talk to some of my friends, kero." tsuyu reaches out her hand to [last name] for her to grab onto.

"are y-you sure it's alright if i do so?"

"of course."

pulling up [first name], tsu steadily held onto her hand. they made their way to the lunch table; fully aware that they only had a small amount of time.

"[last name]..? are you okay?!" a bubbly brunette said, shocked to see her after the whole fiasco.

"hm? o-oh, yeah.." [last name] squeaked out.

"well, [last name], this is ochako, midoriya, iida and todoroki, kero." tsuyu introduced.

"n-nice to meet you iida-san and todoroki-san, i already k-know ochako and midoriya though.." the girl with the [eye colour] eyes stated.

as tsuyu and [last name] sat down, the whole table discussed matters and laughed, all forgetting what had happened earlier. [last name] and todoroki didn't talk much, ochako, midoriya and iida made most of the conversation and tsuyu participated occasionally.

it was safe to say that [last name] hadn't been this happy in awhile.

but tsuyu couldn't shake the feeling that there was something going on deeper with [last name].

i hope this chapter didn't seem too filler-ey. it was meant to show that [last name] had grown to trust tsu more.

also... 1K... wtf wtf wtf i love you all so much i don't deserve this.. especially cause i'm going on a short hiatus. it won't be long, but my mental health is terrible currently and i need to take a small break.
