a sigh escaped [first name]'s lips after she finished reading the note her parents left for her on the fridge, and while it didn't surprise her, it still disappointed her that they wouldn't be joining her for dinner, again.

the note read:
[first name],
your father and I have an important business meeting today, we won't be coming home until late. please go to work and make yourself some dinner.
-mom

nothing unusual in the [last name] home. it was sunday, so luckily she had no school, but she had work. and she just so happened to be on cashier duty, her least favourite position. it wasn't her one she was fond of, because she has to talk to people, which drains her energy.

dragging herself into her room, the girl put on her uniform for the cafe she worked at, quickly brushing her hair to look presentable, and then walked out the door.

The cafe was close enough to the point where she could walk, plus her parents didn't want her to spend to much money on bus tickets, so she walked to work.

the scenery as [first name] walked her way to the cafe was boring, it was grey and ugly. it all looked very empty, and it all just seemed motionless. the [hair colour] haired girl kept her head down for the rest of the walk.

once she had arrived, she quickly made her way over to the counter, a friendly voice greeting her as she set her stuff down and got mentally ready for all the talking.

"hey [last name]! glad to see you made it in today!" the energetic female spoke.

"oh, hello ashido," [first name]'s voice softly spoke, "thanks, i'm happy to see you too.."

[first name] always thought mina was really fun, and would love to be as outgoing as she is. ashido gave [first name] a bright smile before heading to the back putting her apron on.

the day went by slowly, consisting of [first name] listening to customer orders and giving them to ashido or to her other coworker on duty, ojiro.

it was going as boring as usual, but she didn't really have the right to complain. that was, until the cutest girl [first name] had ever seen walked through the door, the little bell ringing as she did so.

the girl had long green hair, the bottom of it tied into a bow, she was wearing a long sleeved yellow shirt with a pair of jeans. she was simply stunning.

walking up to the counter, the cute girl began to order.

"may i please get one green tea, kero?" she asked, but [first name] was too busy staring to hear what she had said, "um, miss?"

"o-oh! um, yes.. coming right up.." [first name] muttered, her face warm from embarrassment.

quickly telling her order to her coworkers, the green haired girl went to the other side, waiting for her order.

"it w-will be ready in a moment.." [first name] averted her gaze.

"thank you, kero." the girl with the long green hair smiled slightly in gratitude at [first name], and she was sure her heart had stopped for a second.
