Draco Malfoy straightened his suit and tie, getting rid of the nonexistent creases in them. The wedding was about to begin and wedding bells were about to be heard. The processional started and everybody was looking at the aisle, waiting for the big moment. Children, friends and relatives alike walked down the red carpet. Though the ones in the pews didn't take notice of them much.
Until finally, the doors opened. Revealing a stunning woman in a white gown. That woman is y/n, the love of his life. Half of your hair cascaded down your back and half in a neat-but-messy bun. Your veil in front of your face, not helping to hide the big smile. The long tail of your elegant white gown following you as you walk down the aisle. Your look was topped off with the beautiful bouquet you were holding lowly.
As you walked down the aisle, you acknowledged your guests' presence. Nodding at your family members, grinning at your friends, who were all shedding one or two tears of their own.
You were currently alone on the aisle, with your parents a victim from the second wizarding war, no father or mother could walk you down. Some close family relatives offered but you declined. Saying that it wouldn't be the same and no one can take your parents' place.
You were nearing the altar. You reached Draco. You faced him and mouthed your thanks and a small 'I love you'. In that moment, everything felt perfect for the slytherin alumnus. You wrapped your best friend in a tight hug and pulled back. Continuing your path down. You reached the groom, and gave a loving smile.
Draco watched the scene unfold with bitter in his heart, though he was happy for his bestfriend. He fell in love with the y/e/c eyed girl without knowing. He was too late when he figured it out, you were already in a happy and strong relationship with your groom-to-be. He didn't want to spoil your happiness just to be a selfish man. So he didn't do anything. He lived as if he was okay, he carried on with his life as if seeing you two didn't hurt.
