~Lets try this again. Today the story will be told by Natsumi's view, up until chapter 6, NOT Kokoro's view. Let's see how this works out. Okai, now to the story!!~
I liked being on the roof. The sun always felt great on my pale skin. Besides, the view from up here was amazing! Shin and I used to always love hanging up here together.
I sighed me a smile and watched the sun go down. Wait!! I should introduce Kokoro-Chan to midnight ice cream! She'll love it!
I jumped down from the roof to the ground. I ran as fast as I could, until I was flying. I loved to fly. I felt so... Free. I noticed Kokoro talking to Kill. That wasn't good.
"Kokoro-Chan!!"
"Hiya, Natsumi. What's the matter?" Kokoro looked at me with a confused expression on her face.
"We're going out for midnight ice cream! We should invite Mika before it gets too late!"
Kill rubbed his head and got to his feet before he spoke, "Can I join? Id love some ice cream right about now."
"No, you can't," Kokoro snarled. She walked off, heading to the direction to town.
I giggled and joined her. We walked in silence on the way there. I could tell she had a lot on her mind, but so did I. We decided not to invite Mika.
"Maybe some other time," she smiled. "Everyone here seems pretty nice except a few, but I just met Mika."
"I get it. It's almost midnight. We should hurry. Their flavors are best when ordered at midnight! Just you wait!" I danced around before grabbing Kokoro by her wrist, dragging her into town.
"Whoa!! Careful! You're moving too fast! Slow down!"
I could tell she had a hard time keeping up, but no matter, we were almost there.
By the time we got to the ice cream shop, it had already closed. Something about it was bugging me. The shop never closed at midnight. "I suppose it was just bad timing..."
Kokoro smiled brightly. "It's fine. How about we try again tomorrow? We could bring everyone too."
I looked down at my feet, emotionless. "I know I shouldn't, but Shin is a Shinigami. We used to be the best of friends before the academy burnt down... It took ages to fix it, but it was eventually restored. We lost everything we owned that day, but Shin, he must of lost something precious... That's when you came. I guess you reminded him of something, so maybe that's why he hates you? I don't know.. He rarely ever speaks to me anymore." I sighed. It became to pour, but we stood in silence, not moving a muscle.
"Come on, we're gonna get wet in this downpour. You can tell me more later."
~ Sorry this took so long, and that its SO short! A lot of stuff has been happening, and I forgot all about it. I'll try to make it longer and make chapter 5 soon. Baiiii!! ~
