"Mia. do you really have to leave?" Lori asked me. Disappointment laced in her voice. I stopped what I was doing and turned to her.

I heaved a heavy sigh before answering her.

"Lori, you this has been my dream ever since we were little. Aren't you happy that I'm finally gonna live my dream?" I asked her.

Lori put her head down and nodded her head. I placed my finger on her chin and brought it up so that she is facing me. I sighed once again.

"Lori, don't worry. I'll come visit you whenever I get a chance." I paused. My eye lit up and my little sister gave me a confused look.

I shook my head and answered her confusion.

"Well, Christmas break is not far away. By then, I'll get to visit you and dad okay?" She nodded her head once again and I pulled her in for a hug.

"I'm gonna miss you Mia. So much." She sniffled. I let a stray tear fall from my eyes.

"Me too Lori, me too."

After an hour of getting all my stuff packed up, we finally finished, and we are now filling up my car with my bags.

I was putting the last of my bags in the trunk, when I noticed a shadow covering the sunlight. I closed the trunk and turned around to find my brother looking down at me. I cocked an eyebrow and he laughed softly.

"Is there something on my face?" I wondered. He shook his head, still laughing to himself. I narrowed my eyes at him, which made him finally crack.

"Nothing, it's just that, I can't believe I will be going to the same college as my little sister. It's so crazy how you've been dreaming to go to this school. And now look at you. You're on your way there!" He explained. My lips tugged up a little, and I pulled my brother in a hug.

"Thanks Mason. For always being there for me when I need you." I paused.

"Also, for being the best brother in the whole wide world." He hugged me tighter. The moment was cut short when we heard someone clear their throat.

We pulled apart and I look over to my dad, who had his arms crossed over his chest.

He rose his eyebrow and spoke menacingly. "Forgetting something?" He asked. His sarcastic  side which I got from showing. I smiled widely at him and ran towards my fathers embrace. He held me tight, just like Mason. I felt dad kiss the top of my head.

"I'm very proud of you princess. You're finally living your dream. Make us proud okay?" Dad commanded. I nodded my head and we let go of each other.

I looked one last time at my dad and sister, before entering the car, where Mason was waiting.

"Ready?" He asked.

I sighed deeply. I opened my eyes and looked at my brother with determination.

"Ready."
