Chapter 17
The crowd was buzzing with convocation. A mass of kids swarming through the door. I was so ready for this. We had played other shows but nothing like this. All my doubts were eliminated when the crowd started chanting SECOND DAY AVENUE.
“READY BABE?” ANDY ASKED
“i am so ready.” I said smiling
“goodluck kiss?” he asked
“couldn’t do it without one!” I said kissing him. Still kissing him Ellie pulled me towards the stage.
“goodluck” said jorga and madi
The crowd screamed I had never had this reception before. Jake started the beat on the drums. The song burst out and so did the crowd. After the first song I stood up to the mic.
“hello Newcastle.” I screamed the crowd screamed back.
“ok 1st question who know us. sunny day avenue?” a small portion screamed
“okok who knows uhhh a band called short stack?” I said preparing my ears and holding the mic over the crowd. The crowd screamed way too loud.
“ok that was ok but I think you can do better!” I held the mic up again. They screamed even louder.
“ok guys this ones called golden tears.” I said as I looked to the side and caught andys eye and smiled.
“thanks heaps Newcastle cya on the flip side kids.” I said smiling and walking off.
The crowd started chanting short stack but the boys didn’t emerge for another 10 minutes. So the crowd calmed down just a bit,
“get this show on the road” shaun said slapping bradies ass.
“BROMANCE FTW” yelled madi
