Chapter 26
I suddenly heard sirens and voices.
"Ma'am hello? If you can hear me please say so!" a mans voice said from out side my car.
"Mmm" was all I managed to say
"Ok you are alright ok. We just have to get you out and you will be fine. You have had a minor car crash." The man said. I just murmur again. About 25 minutes later they had cut me out of the car and I was placed into the ambulance. I may be critically hurt b but I managed to see a familiar face looking down at me.
"Hey clo you ok?" Shaun said holding my hand
"It was from Andy. Is Andy ok? What did it say? Does he still love me?" I said pretty much out of it. Andy was right behind him and heard. He knew right away it was his message that put me in this state. Shaun's eyes widened and he turned to Andy. Shaun looked angry but didn't say anything. Even if it was from Andy. Andy didn't know I was driving.
"You will be ok. I promise. You will be fine we will meet you at the hospital!" Shaun said holding my hand as I was put into the ambulance.
I hated hospitals. The smell. The atmosphere. It was horrible. I had been lying in my room for 2 hours. All that kept going through my head was that one second I looked down at my phone.
"Ill goes get your friends ok?" the nurse said. I just nodded. Within 5 minutes all of my friends walked in. Shaun was first to my side and smiled.
"Hey how you feeling?" he said sitting down
"Sore. Very sore. Where is Andy?" I said worried
"He didn't want to come." Madi said quietly
"Pardon. Why not" I said about to cry
"He feels this is his fault and he didn't want you or Shaun to get angry so he stayed away. He is really worried that you're going to be angry." Jorga said backing up madis shy answer
"I'm not angry! I'm saddened but I'm not angry. It wasn't his fault he didn't know I was driving!" I said sitting up. The nurse walked in with a basket of stuff that had been rescued from the car. Amazingly my phone only had a few scratches. I picked it up straight away and went to read thee message. My eyes welled up. Everyone looked shocked they didn't know what it said. As I read more and more I didn't know weather to cry, be happy or be so angry to kill anyone near me. Madi, Jorga, Ellie, Shaun, Bradie and Geoff all exited the room. I read the message again.
Andy- hey Chloe. I know you will most likely be angry at me for saying this via text but it has to be said. I love you. I do. I messed up. I noticed that this very second. I have no idea what has gone through my head. I promise that Sarah is nothing to me. I don't expect you to believe that but please take a risk. I mean it Chloe. I love you. Stay safe xx
Shaun entered the room 5 minutes later.
"Hey well I'm going to go talk to Andy and Bradie. Hopefully see you tomorrow at the gig?" Shaun asked.
"Yeah ill be there. Should be fine by then. Hopefully." I said laughing. Shaun exited the room. For the rest of the day I lie there staring at the picture of me and Andy in my wallet. It made me feel heart broken. I was so angry at what he did. I was not taking him back! He would have to do something amazing for me to take him back. All of a sudden Andy's head poked around the door.
"Hi" Andy said worried.
"hey." I said back
"You angry at me?" he said quietly.
"For sending me the text and making me end up in here? NO! For cheating on me and leaving me yes!" I said angrily.
"I'm sorry Chloe." He said sadly
"To late Andy. You had your chance. You did it to your ex you did it to me. Chances are you will do it again!" I turned over in my bed and shut my eyes. Andy approached my bed. He placed something in my jacket pocket. I ignored it and went to sleep.
"When you have time. You may want to read that!" Andy said sounding like he was about to cry. He exited the room and a nurse entered
"Chloe. Good news. You can leave tomorrow. Shaun informed me you have a gig tomorrow. No jumping around please. Your blood pressure is too high. Please take one of these each day. Oh and the police want a quick word" the nurse said passing me a container of tablets. The police entered.
"Hello Chloe. You feeling better? I'm constable riley. Can I ask you a few questions?" he said with sympathy.
"Hey uh him ok and yeah shoot1" I said sitting up. The police asked me questions and I answered with diligence. I told the police I didn't want to press charges against anyone. I got fined $200,500 for unreasonable driving.
"Thank you for your time Chloe and I hope your recovery is quick!" constable riley said kindly. I smiled and said thank you.
