I stood at the witness stand, waiting patiently. I was surprised that Wright had actually taken the case, but he seemed to be doing quite well, even against the infamous Edgeworth.

"Witness, please state your name and occupation." Miles had his eyes closed, concentrating.

"Y/N L/N, lawyer for Fey and Co. Law Offices." I stated firmly, my expression unwavering.

"The witness may testify to the court." The judge folded his hands.

"I was in my room at the Gatewater Hotel when I heard a scream coming from the office. As the hotel and office are very close, I wasn't difficult for me to hear. I recognized the voice and left immediately, but when I arrived it was too late. Mia had already died, slumped against the wall by the window, her younger sister, Maya, next to the corpse, crying. I comforted her until Phoenix came by, wherein she promptly fainted. He carried her to the couch while I tried to call the cops. However, it seems the office phone was tampered with. I heard a woman scream from the hotel and I looked over, glad to see someone had seen and was calling the cops. I joined Phoenix and Maya (whom was now conscious) while we awaited the police. When they arrived, detective Dick Gumshoe found a paper with 'Maya' written on it and promptly arrested her. Phoenix and I were later escorted out."

"The defendant may cross-examine the witness." The judge gestured to Phoenix, who looked anxious but excited.

"Why were you staying at the Gatewater Hotel?" He asked, stroking his chin thoughtfully.

"Hmm? Oh, my apartment is currently under renovations, and Gatewater was the closest to work." I shrugged.

"And who was the woman you saw?"

"I don't know her name, but she was pretty unforgettable. She had pink hair and clothes, rather pretty. She was-"

"OBJECTION!!!"

I jumped, my heart racing. Edgeworth tapped his stand impatiently, "This is all tedious, let us move on to the next witness. Miss L/N has a solid testimony, we should just continue with Miss May, the woman in question."

I nodded as I left the stand, making way for Miss May. She was definitely the woman who called the cops; her hair was unforgettable.

"Who's the man who stayed with April May?" Wright questioned himself out loud, pacing. I had a sinking feeling that I knew who it was, but I needed proof.

I stood up and searched through the files; sure enough, the ones I were looking for were missing. Sliding a folder back into place, I turned to face the rookie attorney.

"Redd White."
