When I came to, I was leaning on Phoenix's chest. Realization dawned on me and I sat up quickly, my face hot with embarrassment. Thankfully, Wright was still out cold.
I whispered in his ear, and, getting no response, looked around. I was still in Bluecorp, where I had been knocked out. White sat at his desk, talking into his intercom.
"Don't let anyone else visit me today, I'll be preparing for court." He said, not noticing me. When I tried to move, I noticed, much to my dismay, that my hands and feet were bound. So instead of standing up, I fell down like a legless frog trying to jump.
He glanced in my direction, chuckling. "Lucky for you, Y/N, I decided not to kill the both of you. The police will be in charge of that when they get here."
I scowled, managing to cut off the twine with my pocket knife. But White didn't try to stop me, only turned the intercom back on. "The murderers are trying to escape! Call and ask the police to hurry!"
"Unlucky for you, Wright and I are lawyers." I spat back, gently undoing Phoenix's binds. I turned him over and inspected the back of his neck. There was a large bruise there, and a bump had formed. I kept his head on my lap as I kept trying to wake him up, "It's also unlikely that the police will suspect us as the criminals."
I gingerly ran my fingers over a cut Wright had gotten on his cheek, which was met with shudders. I shook him again. His eyes fluttered open and he winced at the light, obviously trying to remember everything. He tried to sit up but I laid him back on my lap, soothing him.
"I wouldn't say that. You of all people know I have an iron grip on the officials." White leaned forward.
The sound of sirens could be heard faintly, so I attempted to stand up. But my knees buckled and I fell back down, groaning weakly. This time Wright sat up, confused, and helped me.
"What the hell?" He wondered out loud, reaching back to scratch his neck. He flinched instead, probably finding the bruise. Then his eyes widened as everything came back to him.
"White, you...!" He growled, snapping to face our assailant. Wright's fists clenched, knuckles white with pure anger. But White met his gaze with his usual cocky smirk, shaking his head.
"Save it for the police, Mr. Wrong." He shrugged, and, as if on cue, the door was kicked down. In entered Dick Gumshoe and his group, clearly surmised when he saw us on the floor.
"Harry Butz and Maya Fey!" He exclaimed.
"Phoenix Wright and Y/N L/N." Wright corrected, helping me sit up. My head pounded and I felt faint, but I put on a strong face. "Detective Gumshoe, what are you doing here?" Phoenix rubbed his head, finally standing up. I had more trouble, having to lean on him for support.
"We got a call, Redd White said he saw the murderers who killed that Fey woman." Dick glanced around, confused.
"Yes, it's those two! Take them away!" White cried, "They tried to kill me, too!"
Everything after that was a mess. I remember being lead away, still supported by Wright as I felt just about to pass out again.
We were loaded into a car where I was finally able to safely faint.
