"Y/N..." Phoenix shook my shoulders gently, "Wake up, this is our stop."
I sat up groggily, yawning. "Already? Is that drunk man gone?" I stretched a bit, disappointed to see he wasn't. "M' names IAN." He snapped. Water bottles littered the ground around me, so I assumed he was sobering up. The smell of vomit unfortunately confirmed that.
I stood up, preparing to leave, but Ian wouldn't budge. I had to scoot past him, which only earned me a couple of wandering fingers. Apparently he wasn't like that because he was drunk. Blushing, I hurried to catch up with Wright. Ian followed us out, which made Nick move behind me like a bodyguard.
I entered my apartment, closely followed by Nick and Ian. Unlocking the door, I hurried in, saying quick goodbyes. I slumped against the door, my heart racing. Even in his weak state, Nick looked intimidating (and hot).
I heard arguing and decided to eavesdrop, worried. As I suspected, it was between Ian and Nick.
"The fuck's your problem, man?! I coulda gotten laid!" Ian growled. I heard Nick chuckle sarcastically. "That's the point. You keep your filthy hands off her if you know what's good for you." He threatened.
"I live right next to her, anyway, I can just make a move while you're gone. Nothing you can do about it, so stop acting like her boyfriend." Ian said, and I could feel the tension skyrocket. "You will not, and I will make sure you don't. I can stand here all night, you know." Nick replied, leaning against my door.
"Get off my dick, dude. I've had my eyes on her for a while, I've even gone through the trouble of getting pics. Some weak-ass lawyer-lookin boy isn't gonna change that." Ian insisted, but left nonetheless. I listened as the apartment door next to mine opened and shut, then as Nick sighed.
"Now I've gotta stay out here all night..." I heard him groan. I opened the door a bit, looking around timidly. "Y-you can stay in here... But you really don't need to watch over m-me so much." I stammered, suddenly flustered.
"Oh, Y/N, you heard that...?" He looked down, rubbing his neck. I nodded, opening the door fully. "Yeah, but s-seriously. You can always just go home, I'll be fine on my own."
"No you won't. You heard him, he's been stalking you! I have to get a point across to him one way or another." Nick folded his arms, taking the offer to come in. I quickly offered him some dry clothes, stuff I bought for situations like this. He accepted and walked off to get changed.
I went and changed into my pajamas in my room, returning to see Nick snooping around. He was reading through a newspaper about Mr. White; I had forgotten to clean out all of that now that he's behind bars.
"I'm glad he's in jail. His sentence is pretty big, and I'm sure no one is sane enough to bail him out." I sighed, accidentally startling Nick. He put the paper down, agreeing quietly. "I'm just glad he didn't decide to just kill us. I guess it'd be too much trouble to blame someone else if we died in his office."
I invited him over to the couch, handing him some cocoa to warm up with. The rest of the night was cozy and warm, but I always felt like I was being watched.
