This is the closest picture I could find of Damien, although this is just how I picture him. You can always imagine someone else, of course!

My target and I stood and stared at each other, with me trying to act tough despite my pounding heart, and Eli Ailton just being tough. Everything about him screamed "tough". His stance, his build, his expression. And me, poor little me, didn't stand a chance.

As proud as I am to be a woman, having a small build just sucks; especially when I am facing off with the stockiest, strongest man I've ever laid my eyes on. But, pushing my doubts aside, I gripped my saber and lunged, thinking I could catch him off guard. I was proven wrong when he ducked out of the way and I slashed at the air beside him. Darn, I thought I would be faster than him! I didn't know a block of iron could dodge me so fast!

I rolled to the side and ducked behind him, intending to stab him in the back. That was also soiled when he turned and fired in my direction, narrowly missing my head.

I slashed his ankles and caused him to loose his balance, but he let out an inhuman growl and righted himself again.

What is he, made of steel?

I clenched my teeth and kept running from the barrel of the gun. Now that I was practically running circles around him, I realized that I am faster than him in the sense that I have more room to run. The narrow walls didn't allow much room for him, especially when I blocked his path from all angles.

Taking this into consideration, I allowed myself to aim higher, to his legs. I kept my arms close to my gut, because I would assume it would offer some kind of armor, right?

Armor against a bullet? Ha! Like that'll ever happen. That's just my mind coming up with ways to comfort myself; but can't a girl dream?

Suddenly I heard another gunshot, following by an excruciating pain in my shoulder. I yelled out, but kept going, if not a tad slower than before.

He was wide open, but I would have to risk being shot in order to stab him. I counted down in my head.

2 - Why am I doing this?

1 - I should just run and forget about entrance to the society!

Just as I was about to attack, I saw a glimpse of a dark shadow from beside me. I stopped, frowning. I tried to follow it with my eyes, but it darted out of sight every time.

I glanced at Eli, only just noticing that he had placed the gun to my head. Drats! I let my guard down!

"Hey now, you don't have to do that! Just... tell me your intentions and I'll scurry along." The fear in my eyes was most likely amusing, because he smirked and leaned in closer.

"I intend," He dug the gun harder into my head, "to kill you."

My eyes widened and I could feel my rapid pulse slamming against my temples, threatening to burst. I closed my eyes and waited.
