I'm sorry I didn't write about Jake and Taylor's date:( I always just find date-writing so hard for me. (probably because i'm a single pringle ahaha)
Chapter 14
Jake
Because my class today was an early morning class, and by early morning I mean one in the afternoon, I got to the university a bit early so I could get some coffee before heading to class.
After I got the coffee from the cafeteria, I started walking to my class, taking a sip out of my coffee.
As I was in the courtyard walking to my class, Flynn suddenly hurried over to me, smiling widely. He didn't even say anything. He just smiled at me.
"Are you going to say something or are you just going to keep smiling at me with that creepy smile?" I asked.
Flynn grabbed my arm and pulled me to a nearby picnic table, making me sit down as he sat down beside me. "So... How was it?"
I knew exactly what he was talking about but I decided not to talk about that now, only to bug Flynn because he was a huge pest.
I was surprised he never even asked me about my date with Taylor until today. I didn't get a single call or a bunch of spam text messages over the weekend from me.
I was kind of expecting him to try to call or text me during the date.
"Oh, the coffee's great," I said. "I got some whipped cream and chocolate sauce on top of it. It's really good."
Flynn sighed heavily. "Not the coffee. I said how was it, meaning I was talking about something in the past. You're drinking the coffee now."
"It could have been empty for all you know," I pointed out.
"True, true," Flynn said. "So, my good friend, how was it? Huh? Huh?"
I furrowed my eyebrows, pretending to not know what he was talking about. "How was what?"
"Do you want me to get a megaphone and ask you?" Flynn asked. "Because I will."
"Before you do that, it might help if you be specific about what you're asking me," I said. "How was what? My weekend? My breakfast? My homework?"
"Your date, you idiot," Flynn said. "Your first date."
"Oh, right, that happened," I said.
"I feel like you're doing this to bug me," Flynn said.
I shrugged, giving him an innocent smile. "I might."
"Can you just tell me how it was?" Flynn asked. "I'm literally about to cry."
My best friend; as dramatic as always.
"It was... great," I said, trying my best not to smile like crazy.
"Uh oh, that sounds bad," Flynn said. "Hesitation followed by great? Do you need me to beat up Taylor for you?"
"No, no, it really was great," I said. "It was amazing."
"But...?" Flynn asked.
"There isn't a but," I said. "I loved it. The only reason why I hesitated was because I don't want to smile like crazy and seem all lovesick."
"So the date really was great?" Flynn asked before he smiled widely. "Awe, yay. Did he kiss you? Did you kiss him? Are you going on another date soon? Can I come?"
