Chapter 15

Flynn

       "I'm starting to think we should lock Flynn up somewhere," Lilly said, which made no sense since all I was doing was setting up the snacks on the coffee table. I haven't said a single word or done anything that could have resulted in my girlfriend saying something so mean.

       "Honestly, I don't even know why I'm dating you at times," I said. "You're so mean to me. I haven't done anything wrong." 

      "Not yet," Lilly said. "But out of all of us, you're the biggest pest there is."

       "I don't get it," I said. "What does that have to do with locking me somewhere?"

       "You know what you were like before Fin and I even started dating," Logan said. "You were extremely ignoring. Extremely. And now that your best friend is bringing his boyfriend over for game night, your scale of annoying is probably going to reach an all new high."

       "That is not true," I said. "I am going to be extremely respectful and calm when Jake arrives with Taylor. I will not being annoying at all. Definitely not at all."

       "Yeah, I don't believe that at all," Infinity said. "I don't think any of us do."

       "Then that's your problem," I said. "But I will honestly be the most respectful and least annoying person in this room. I will be so respectful that you guys will all think there's a new person in this room. You won't recognize me at all. In fact--"

       "You're basically repeating yourself," Infinity said. "And that's making you even more annoying."

       "Well, that's not my fault," I said. "It's in my DNA to be annoying. I can't just stop."

       "So... What happened to you not being annoying tonight?" Logan asked. "Because now you're just contradicting yourself. Are you going to be annoying or not?"

       "Not," I said. "I promised Jake I wouldn't and he's my best friend so I'm not breaking that promise."

       "Your best friend that you kiss?" Lilly asked. "Because best friends don't kiss each other."

       "Are you still mad about that?" I asked. "I said I was sorry, and I only did it so he wouldn't be afraid about having his first kiss. And best friends do kiss each other. Logan and Infinity kiss each other. Are you saying they're not best friends?"

       "We don't count," Infinity said. "Stop using us as an example for things best friends can and can't do since we're also dating."

       "Yeah, whatever," I said, finishing setting up the food. "There, all done." I took my cell phone out of my pocket to check the time. I sighed once I saw it. "He's late. What if he doesn't show up? What if he doesn't want me to meet his boyfriend? That will break my heart."

       "I mean, I'll get why if that's the case," Logan said. "He told me that you once knocked his books out of his hands at school."

       "Uh, that was to see how Taylor would react to it," I said. "Good news, Taylor did help out his future husband."

       There was a knock on the door before it opened, so it must have been Jake since Jake, Logan, and Lilly never really wait for an answer before walking in. Jake was the only one who had the courtesy to knock before walking in. Logan and Lilly just walked in.

       I mean, I did the same thing at Jake's house but that was besides the point. 

       Jake walked into the living room with Taylor following, who was holding Newt. "Took you long enough, Jake," I said. "I was starting to think that you weren't going to show up and hurt my feelings."

       "Right, because everything is about you," Jake said.

       "I know, right?" I said. "I'm glad someone finally realized that."

       Jake rolled his eyes before looking at Taylor. "So this is my best friend Flynn, who you've seen on multiple occasions pestering me. Then that's his girlfriend Lilly, his sister Infinity, who is also my brother Logan's girlfriend. Everyone, this is Taylor."

       "And me!" Newt said.

       "And Taylor's son, Newt," Jake said.

       "Well, Taylor, it's nice to finally meet you," I said.

       "You too, after all the creeping you've done around me and Jake," Taylor said.

       "Was I not subtle?" I asked.

       "Flynn, you're always the opposite of subtle," Infinity said. "You once told Logan I wanted his babies just because you wanted us to date."

       "Was I wrong to want you two to date?" I asked. "No, so stop bringing that up."

       Newt noticed a plate of cookies on the table and tried squirming out of his dad's grasp. "Cookies. Cooooooookies."

       "Only one, okay?" Taylor said, placing Newt on the ground. Newt quickly ran over to the table, grabbing a cookie and eating it happily. 

       "So what game are we playing today?" Jake asked as he and Taylor sat down on the loveseat. 

       "We're still deciding," Logan said. "Flynn wants to play Monopoly because you know how much he likes to create conflict. The rest of us don't want to play Monopoly because of what happened last time."

       "What happened last time?" Taylor asked.

       "Someone got a little angry and decided to flip the board," I said. "But I'm not going to name any names so I don't embarrass that person."

       "It was you, Flynn," Lilly said. "That was one hundred percent you. And we don't want that happening again so that's a no to Monopoly."

       I sighed. "Fine, whatever."

       It did take some time to agree on a board game to play but that was only because I was shooting down all the ideas since I really wanted to play Monopoly. In the end, they all decided that I shouldn't get to vote on anything.

       I didn't know why I was friends with such rude people.

       As we were playing the game, I couldn't help but notice one thing; Jake looked really happy with Taylor. And I mean really happy. I've never seen Jake so happy before. 

       Which made one thing for certain; I was going to fight anyone who tried getting in the way of this relationship, even if that meant fighting Jake's dad. Because I will keep Jake happy, no matter what it took.

would you be surprised if flynn really did try and fight jake's dad? cause i'm surprised he didn't fight them when his dad was overreacting about logan and infinity

(fun fact: i'm rewatching h20: just add water and i finally got to season three and bella is my favourite of the mermaids and she's infinity so i was in the mood to update this lol)(also i love will)
