[Craig's POV]

I sniffed as I huddled on my bed, a pitiful look on my face. Feeling the ache in my chest, I thought about Tweek. He had to move away next week, so he broke up with me. I tried to pretend it didn't bother me, but it really hurt to think I'd never see him again.

Just as I was about to turn my phone off, I got a call from Kenny, and I raised an eyebrow. "What do you want?" I grumbled into the phone when I answered.

"Well, I heard about Tweek, and I was wondering if you wanted to hang out." He said from the other line, his voice breaking every few seconds. Although after sixth grade, so about a year ago now, his parents got their shit together and got a better place, they still weren't exactly in the best neighbourhood.

Sighing, I thought about it. "Sure, we can hang out I guess."

"Cool! Can you come over in maybe an hour?" Kenny asked, his voice visibly excited. I rolled my eyes and checked the time, which read 1:34 pm.

"Why can't you just come over here?"

"Because!" He shot back.  There was silence between us before I sighed, giving in.

"Yeah, ok."

I knocked on his door and looked down to notice it was Karen, his little sister. "Uh, Hey Karen. Is Kenny here?"

She gave me a wide smile, opening the door for me to come in. "Yep! He's just in his room."

I nodded and shuffled my shoes off, walking up into his room. When I opened his door slightly, my eyes widened. It was dimly lit by soft fairy lights— I'm assuming he took from Karen's room— and they hung from all the walls, making them look darker.

His old iPod lay on his side table, playing a piano cover of what sounded like the Red Racer theme song. The thing that surprised me the most, however, was Kenny himself.
When he turned to look at me, he wasn't wearing his normal parka zipped up all the way up to his face, but instead a nice flannel shirt with a dark sweater unzipped over it. He had on faded dark gray jeans, smiling at me with his crooked teeth. Surprisingly, it seemed that he combed his hair for once, and his baby blue eyes gave me a smile of their own.

Feeling flustered, I was lost for words, and Kenny chuckled and walked over to me. "Glad you decided to join me, Tucker."

"Wh..what the hell is all this?" I asked, sounding like Tweek.

"It's a get better party! But, it isn't a party. Just the two of us." He rubbed he back of his neck at the last part. "I uh.. I have a Red Racer marathon on right now, if you wanted to watch that."

Regaining my posture, I stood up straight. "What about the music then?"

"Oh? That?" Kenny turned his back to me, going to sit down. "Just felt like listening to it, I guess."

After standing there like an idiot for hell knows how long, he laughed. "What, you just gonna stand there or something?"

"Oh, shut it McCormick." I said, sitting down beside him as the episode began to play.

We had been watching Red Racer for about two hours, and barely any words were exchanged between us besides the regular 'you hungry?' or 'I'll be right back'. I had closed my eyes for a short moment, and when I opened them I bit my lip when I saw the scene that was on. "It was his favourite." I mumbled, and Kenny gave me a questioning stare. My voice was nasally and as stoic as ever, but he could tell something was up.

"You mean Tweek?" He asked, and frowned when I nodded.

"He always loved it, always telling me to shut up and then cling to me tightly as he watched it with a big dorky grin." I gave a frustrated sigh.

"I just wish I could forget it and move on."

Just as a commercial came on, Kenny stood up, and I raised an eyebrow at him. Pausing the tv, I realized the piano was still softly in the background.

"What're you doing?"

He held out his hand to me, and smiled. "May I have this dance?"

I looked at his hand, then his face, then back again, and decided to take it. He pulled me up  and he awkwardly put his hands around my neck as I put mine on his waist. We were only really rocking back and forth, and kept stepping on each other's feet, but after a while of staring into someone's eyes while the room is in the most romantic setting you've even seen, little things don't matter.

Kenny chuckled as he held my fond stare, his eyes soft. "Forget about twitches yet?"

I frowned. "If only."

He looked at me intently, and then went up on his tip-toes. I inched myself more forward, and our noses bumped into each other's as we kissed. I wasn't exactly sure why it was happening, or how I let it happen, but I had no intent on stopping it, I just let it happen. It wasn't long, it was just a quick, soft affectionate kiss.

When we both pulled back, my eyes were wide as Kenny blushed and laughed. I gave a ghost of a stupid smile, not being able to help myself around his contagious laughter. He moved his hand down and gripped mine tight, pressing our foreheads together. "What about now?" He murmured. If I hadn't known any better, I would've said his tone sounded sad, and I began to pet him with my free hand. When he looked up at me with hopeful and nervous blue eyes, I did my best to comfort him with my eyes.

"Y'know what? Yeah, I think it worked."
