I pushed the call button and fixed my hair. Rachel appeared on my screen. Her eyes were red and she was curled up in a big, fluffy blanket. She sat criss crossed with a tub of ice-cream and a spoon. I smiled her.

"Hey," I said tenderly.

"Hey..." she said back in practically a whisper. For a few moments she eat some ice cream.

"How are you?" I asked patiently.

"I don't know. I feel really hurt and confused. One moment I love him, but the next my feelings are being torn to shreds." I wouldn't comment on how she deserved better, because that's just a jerk move. I didn't want to make this about me and my feelings.

Right now, she needs me as a friend more than anything. Not me telling her I have a crush on her.

"I know how you feel. It hurts really bad, huh? Knowing that things were different a week ago," I said, knowing the pain she's going through. "If you could go back, do you wish you could do something different, so that you didn't break up?"

"No, I don't think so. I honestly don't know what I did wrong. I don't want to know either. He's just a jerk," she sniffed. I nodded in agreement. "I got an A on my Calculus test." I could tell she didn't want to talk about it anymore, so I didn't press on the subject.

"That's great, Rachel! Looks like your hard work payed off."

"Well, I couldn't have done it without you," she admitted.

"Oh please! I didn't help at all. That was all you. I just gave you a little nudge in the right direction," I said and crossed my arms.

"But I wasn't smart, until you started tutoring me." She laughed and I smiled.

"Oh, yes, you were. You just needed a better teacher."

"True. You are a good teacher. Better than Mr. Williams." We both laughed.

Even if you don't ship it, you have admit that was sweet. I liked the part where Amy didn't make it about her, because I hate when people do that. Like, after a breakup, someone with a crush on you goes "You deserve someone better. Someone like me.". I just hate it when that happens, because they just went through a breakup and they want a friend, not a new relationship.

Anyways, we are getting there. Slowly but surely. I apologize for the undeveloped characters. I'm still figuring out Rachel and Amy as well. As I go along, I get to understand the characters more.
