Skull Island.

Egg Shen and I stood on the deck of the ship, watching it approach an island with an ominous huge skull on it. "Young one. We are almost here." I glanced at him and smiled. "Yeah, but Hades forbid there'd be anything bad." I said with a saddening, almost evil look. "I agree, Samuel." They landed in the docks. Boochbeard strode up to Shen. "Alright,  Mr. Goose. We're here. Samuel, you need to talk to Captain Avery. "Alright, you pirate." "Alright, well go!" He said impatiently. "Don't i get food or anything? Like, isn't it regulation or something?" I said heatedly. "Well, no. But regulation states you can get your ass my ship." He said calmy, however a frown on his face. "Shoo." "You're a dirty pirate, Boochbeard, you damn ruffian." Egg Shen and I walked off the ship glaring. The sandy beach wasn't in the least comforting. It was downright infuriating. I kicked a clump of the sand, and walked off. Egg Shen and my life behind me I realized nothing mattered. I unsheathed my cutlass and stopped dead. I raised it to my neck. "One shot... can end me." I raised it closer.

A kick sent it out of my hands. "What the hell do you think you're doin?" a gruff voice said beside me. I glanced at him. A wharf rat. I glanced at my cutlass and backed away. "Well?" he asked again. stepping closer with every step I took. My back was againest the wall. He looked at me with pity. "Do what you came to do. Kill me, you filthy rat." I spat. "I didn't come ter kill ya. I came ter help ye." The rat said with sympathy. "Ratbeard's dats ma name." "I'm Sam." I said immediately from habit. Ratbeard, backed up and i walked forward and stuck my hand out. He shook it. "Sorry about that little, er mistake, what you been sentenced in Pearl'nPlunder for?" "Pearl and Plunder? I came to see The Commodore." I spoke bravely, boldly, perhaps. "Really? You look better off with the Morgan LaFitte, or possibly Captain Jones, her apprentice."  "A Swashbuckler? I never really had thought about that. Maybe. I'll talk to both." Despite the encounter, Him and this Ratbeard were becoming fast friends. "Say, Ratbeard, I have to go find my friend, Egg Shen. Want to come?" I said with enthusiam. "Why you need to find me, Samuel?" "EGG SHEN!" I said with happiness. "Yes, Samuel. I see you are starting a crew with this, err, Rat here." said Egg Shen with distrust. "Ratbeard's the name, and i would most certainly join yer crew Captain." said Ratbeard happily. "I'm no Cap'tain. Just a simple boy, guys...." "You are now, Captain Sam." they said in unison.
