Fallenpaw was the first to wake up. He nosed his brother awake, and Blackpaw shot up.

"I'm late for training, Im late for th-,"

Fallenpaw interrupted him, "You're not late for anything, mouse brain!" Their bickering woke Moonpaw, who looked as dead as a piece of fresh-kill. Fallenpaw suddenly felt bad for her. His sister already faced much more than simple apprentice duties, and this was only their second day.

The trio padded out of their den, and walked to the fresh-kill pile. Fallenpaw picked up a vole, and took it back to Moonpaw. Blackpaw grabbed a mouse, and the three began to eat. Fallenpaw watched as Moonpaw only took a few bites then got up and stretched. She hissed, shrinking back.

"How's your shoulder?"

"Fine," Moonpaw snapped.

"Wait, what happened to your shoulder?" Blackpaw asked.

"Fernsong ran into me yesterday as I was training.

"Oh, I'm sorry, hope it feels better!" Blackpaw said, cheerfully. His ears pricked, and the thorn barrier shook, and revealed Bumblestripe and Alderheart. "Maybe you should have Alderheart look at it,"

"No! I'm fine, it's just sore," Moonpaw protested.

"You're fine if a medicine cat says you are," Fallenpaw muttered. I'm just worried about her, he thought. Alderheart got up, and bounded over to the two toms, who were talking quietly.

"Bumblestar, a prophecy could take a long time to unfold. Remember Firestar? His took seasons upon seasons, AND, he had to join Starclan to complete it," Alderheart paused, seeing Fallenpaw waiting respectfully a few rabbit lengths away.

"Hello, Fallenpaw. How was your first day as an apprentice?" Bumblestar asked.

"It was okay. Ambermoon is a great mentor. But I have something more important to talk about. Its Moonpaw. She wrenched her shoulder yesterday, and-"

"Wait, why didn't she come to me?" Alderheart mewed.

"I don't know, but I guess Fernsong hit her hard, coming to tell Stormcloud about Brightstar," Fallenpaw shuffled, feeling guilty about betraying his sisters wishes.

"Thanks Fallenpaw," Alderheart ran up to Stormcloud, who had just come out of his den. Fallenpaw flicked his attention back to Bumblestar. "But that's not all she told me," He whispered.

"What else happened?" Bumblestar looked around, sensing the young tom's apprehension. "Let's go to my den,"

Fallenpaw obeyed, but before jumping up the rockfall, he looked at his sister, limping dejectedly to the Medicine Cat den, escorted by Alderheart and Stormcloud. Fallenpaw nosed through the screen of ivy. Brightstar's scent drifted over him, creating a cloud of comfort, but a wisp of sickness lingered, making his fur stand on end.

"We can talk without interruption here. Tell me what else she said,"

Quoting what his sister said, Fallenpaw repeated the prophecy. "But that's not the weird part, Bumblestar,"

"What is?" Bumblestar's head tilted, confused.

"Moonpaw wasn't the first cat to tell me. Mousefur was."
