The anniversary party was Friday night.  For both Can & Sanem, it was the first night of the rest of their lives.  Though their weekends were spent fairly differently as far as actual activities, they were also quite parallel in terms of their thoughts.

Can spent as much time as he could writing.  He helped his Baba with the store, helped his Anne with whatever she told him he needed to help with... he and Leyla kept out of the other's business for the most part, and he just wrote. Some general ramblings and musings he could use later in more structured works... stream of consciousness stuff...  some actual short stories and poems.  They were all varied pieces, but all inspired by the same source.  The Kiss.

Sanem found herself working out more than usual... running, boxing, simple calisthenics... the occasional swim.

Most of these were accomplished alone, but she actually had a round of football with Emre before he gave up and retreated by claiming he needed to take care of some things at the office

Most of these were accomplished alone, but she actually had a round of football with Emre before he gave up and retreated by claiming he needed to take care of some things at the office. She continued her activities... some of the boxing and other self-defense maneuvers she practiced was with her ever-loyal personal trainer, Umut. He eventually tired out too and took his leave after over 3 hours of steady workout. "Whatever is on your mind Sanem, I can't beat it out of you... you're on your own for this one."

Any time Sanem found herself stationary... even just trying to read a book or watch some television, she grew restless, needing to burn off this buzzing energy, constantly ignited by the same source. The Kiss.
