"Well done," Shigaraki praised. "Well done indeed."
Izuku smiled and nodded, warmed by the rare compliment he was given. After returning to Tomara with his two targets and interrogating them both, he was exhausted. It was later, but since he called into the bar, he obliged and came. It was a normal check-up, going over what had happened.
"Did you manage to get any information out of either of them?" Kurgiri inquired.
"Not yet."
"Hm," he lightly scratched his neck and looked down in thoughtful concentration. "Well, information isn't really what we captured them for, is it?
Kurogiri nodded. "The pro heroes will come for them."
"All according to plan," Shigaraki smiled his smile, pleased at himself.
Izuku blinked at them in confusion. He wasn't aware of any plan after Todoroki and Bakugou were captured. But of course, there was one. The league of villains never walked into a fight blind. They were prepared. It seemed that that green-haired boy was always the last to hear about it, though.
"The pro heroes will come for the U.A brats," Shigaraki explained scornfully. "And while everyone is distracted over here, we'll be attacking over there." He pointed somewhere in the distant, but they all understood where he was pointing at. U.A High school.
"Where All Might lies unexpectedly," Kurogiri added. "In his weakened form."
"And you, young Midoriya, will be our key to success!" Shigaraki finished, throwing his hands in the air and grinning. Izuku looked up at him, his words sparking interest. Him? Why him?
"Why, sir?"
"Because you can sneak into U.A, my boy," he explained with a hint of excitement. "And finally get your revenge on All Might."
He gulped a little and his eyes widened. "You mean... you want me to... kill him?"
He had never killed anyone before. He had tortured before. Which was terrible, yes, but killing seemed to be crossing a line between terrible and inhumane. Killing was something you can never undo, a scar that will never fade. He wasn't sure if he wanted to be the one to stab a knife into the heart of the symbol of peace. The symbol of everything good. Killing him would be killing hope. Killing him would be killing the world.
Killing him would be killing... Killing the man who made him this way in the first place. It'd be killing the man who turned away small impressionable quirkless kids and calling them worthless. Above all else, it was his fault. It's his fault. It's his. The so-called "symbol of peace." In the end, he was just as corrupt as everyone. The league of villains was corrupt, too, but so was everyone else on this planet. Heroes, villains, civilians. Kids, adults, women, men, people. They were all corrupt.
"If you can't handle it then-."
"No. I'll do it."

The plan was an eventual thing. The villains suspected it to take a few days, a week maybe- two at the most. The heroes were no doubt preparing and searching for their hideout. They'd be here alright, but all in good time. Useful time. Izuku had to prepare. Was he ready? No, he realized he wasn't, but also realized he never truly would be. All might may be nothing more than a skeleton of his old self, with his figure shriveled like a raisin, but he was still All Might. And Midoriya was but a young quirkless boy. A nervous boy.
He didn't have time to talk to either Todoroki nor Bakugou. He was too busy training for the big day. He couldn't bear to break himself away from training. No matter how much work he did, he always felt he needed to work harder. But the prisoners were no doubt being tortured by another. Izuku could tell it was to no avail. They'd both rather die before they tell the villains anything useful. They were at the top of their class, after all. A day went by, and then another, and then a week and the air had been tenser than ever. Midoriya felt more anxious than he cared to admit. They could come at any time. When he was asleep, even. He wanted to be prepared. He needed to be prepared.
