This is the unofficial sequel to What She Left Behind. It occurs at the same time as the original novel, but I recommend reading WSLB first, as Bowie's story will completely spoil the major plot points of the first book. Ultimately, though, it's up to you.
I also must add that unlike WSLB, Bowie's story isn't a mystery. It's about forgiveness and overcoming trauma and learning to love when your heart is broken to bits. There is angst ☠️, drama 🎭, and even a romance 🖤. Not nearly as many suspenseful cliffhangers this time around.
