Our car stopped instantly. The fact the car didn't slide shocked me the truck zoomed past the front of our car hitting the front scratching it. My mother looked at me and then the car. Then back at me. There was shock on her face. She grabbed my face and looked at my eyes and she then started to touch my hair. I was confused. But when I saw my hair I would be shocked too. It was a dark grey, still reaching my waist. My mother has also looked at my eyes but I had no clue why she would. Looking in the side view mirror I felt my eyes widen, my eyes changed, one eyes an Icy blue, the other a bright golden yellow. I felt like a cat with heterochromia. I see why my mom was shocked. Looking at her she smiled slightly and whispered "I have to tell her huh?"
Confused she sighed and said "(y/n), your taking on a mix of your father and I. Your father a 6 tailed fox spirit, while I a Shussebora. I will explain everything when we get home. But just so you know this is completely normal. This is why I never lost faith in you getting a yokai form." Everything was confusing to me. I thought that I was pure Shussebora. But what is this? I was a mix, a cross breed? Cool, but what? My mother looked both ways before trying to push the gas pedal. Confused when it didn't move we got out of the car. Looking at the ground under the car there was ice around the wheels, and it was stuck to the ground.
It was beautiful but also terrifying. Looking at the ice I didn't know what to do. It was stuck in place and couldn't move. And my mother only had healing powers. I heard a soft sigh. Turning to my mom she looked at me and said "well, I guess I have to call Enji again." "Um, who is that?" She turned to me quickly and said "oh, that's your uncle! He use to deal with this all the time, until you got older." She pulled out her phone and opened it, clicking on a number and she put it to her ear. It was silent for a tiny bit when my mom said "hello to you to Enji." Silence. Not a word from my mom then suddenly she said "(Y/n) froze the wheels again.... yes she is a teen... yes Enji I need your help.... thank you. See you in a few minutes." She hung up. She looked to me and smiled. She walked to me and put her hand on my shoulder. She gave a soft smile and said "you can see your uncle once again."
This was confusing me to the my maximum capacity of confusion. I stayed silent. I waited, I hear foot steps walking up behind us turning around quick I see a man bulky and strong looking in a red kimono with his wooden sandals hitting the ground, his hair was red and he had a beard of fire along with a mustache. One thing stood out the most, nine tails were resting behind him coming from his tailbone and two fox ears rested in his hair on the top of his eyes. He looked down at me and he smirked, he placed a hand on my head and said "(Y/n) haven't see you in forever. Anyways Darci, where is the car?"
She pointed to the car that was stuck to the ground he sighed and walked over to it. Flames melted the ice. But it didn't touch anything else. As the last of the ice melted he looked over to us and said "first time in a while since that happened. Do you know what triggered it?" My head snapped over to the road. A loud horn honked as a car came down the road. My eyes widen slightly and I ran to this Enji person and pulled him out of the way replacing myself with him, what happened next shocked all of us. My hand stretched out and the car froze in place, ice crawling from the ground , up the side of the car it stopped before us got to the door. I was freaking out.
Taking a deep shaky breath I felt light headed, cold, and scared. My legs shook and they soon gave out, landing on the ground I looked at the ground not knowing what to do now. This is the second time we were almost hit, and the second time I had created this ice as a method to save us... what the hell is happening? I still don't believe I will have a yokai form. Even recovery girl said so. So why is it that I can freeze things now?
