Chapter 16

The training passed, going to school and training were kind of getting out of hand but as soon as the festival came it was worth it. My class were dressed in their normal training kimono, a dark blue with stripes of white making the letters U.A. we had a race first, it consisted of robots, a mine field, and tall pillars. Being human I had found an easy way to solve this without Kami. Dodge, attack when needed, and run like hell. I was quick but also slow. I was behind Shoto, Bakugou, and izuku. So I was in 4th place. On the last obstacle a lot of people fell behind, but my light steps hit the mines but didn't set them off until I was off. I was stuck behind bakugou and Shoto. A chuckle escaped my throat when I saw izuku flew past all of us. He got first place, Shoto got second place, bakugou got third and I had fourth. Pretty good for being human. The cavalry battle one of our class mates sat out, his stomach hurt, so I found I was on a team with a purple haired guy. He was the rider. Ok. We got through and I didn't loose my head band. Again we placed in the top 4 being in the 3rd spot. I felt bad because the others were brainwashed while I wasn't. If I could I would of woke them up. But I couldn't.
They all quit but told me to stay because I wasn't effected. I gave them a nod and didn't say anything. I stood there 16 winners. I had to fight Mina. A girl from my class. I had won. She had tried to get me with her acid, but I was too quick, knocking her out of bounds. It was quick and didn't waist any stamina. The fights passed quick, then I was up against the purple haired guy, to give home a second chance. I was silent. I don't speak when fighting. But when he had tried to hit me I dodged, hitting him. We switched sides. I heard people move to the edge of their seats, one of our teachers present mic, was yelling out stuff. I glared at the purple haired guy and my eyes narrowed, he was a threat. He would kill my mother. He would kill my family. Something in me clicked. Running after him I tackled him. My fingers touched his body, freezing his clothes and body to the ground.
Petals surrounded me, the pink was giving me a slight bit of blindness, I felt a book in my hand, but I ignored it. So I put my hand to his neck and I then said "incapacitated." Getting up I left the arena. He was struggling to get up as I left but I then looked at the audience. Shock covered their face. Confused I just sat at the boarder and when I heard Midnight yell "(Y/n) Wins!" I stepped out and went to a break room. I then sat on the chairs in front of the table and looked in a mirror. I knew why they were shocked. My eyes widen and I took in what I saw on myself. Two horns that curved back was carved with ancient patterings. Two ears laid in front of the horns my hair was pure white, my eyes were now golden. Two tails were behind me. One a fluffy fox tail and the other was a thick dragon tail. Two small wings on my back, the wings were a shade of (f/c). The feathers were orange. And my kimono had changed into a black kimono with orange lining skits up the legs of the kimono had went up to my hip, showing of my leg which had a gold anklet around my ankle. A waist band that had a tassel hanging to my hip. The shoulders of the kimono were cut and the neck and cut sleeves has fur all over it. A good on the back as well that was covered in fur. Needless to say I like the outfit. Looking at the book in my hand I saw it was the same grimoire you mother gave me. That went missing.

I looked myself up and down, shocked and confused. Did my yokai finally manifest? Holy shit my fox tail is so fluffy. Almost as fluffy as Kami's. Nothing could beat Kami's fluffy tail. Hearing a knock I watched ad the door opened, my mother and Kami walked in. My mother ran over to me and hugged me tightly. Hugging her back I heard her say "I knew it! I told you that you would get your yokai soon. And that good feeling was from this." I hugged her tighter gripping on the back of her kimono I felt happiness but also fear. What would happen to me? What would happen to my mom? I then said "mom, what about my yokai? What would people do?" She giggled and said "trust me they are more accepting then you think dear." Letting her go I sat back down. Feeling stressed about the next fight. I was against Tokoyami. The bird guy from in the USJ. I looked at my mom and asked "what should I do, my yokai just manifested, should I fight? Or withdrawal?" My mother looked me right in the eyes and said "fight. Use that yokai form of yours and fight." Her word made me smile. I made up my mind. I will get the top three, for my mother.
