I ducked to the left dodging the blow from one of Penguin's henchmen. He came back at me with another punch, but I jumped into a backhand spring. I winced in pain as my hands came in contact with the floor. I ended in a lunge cradling my right wrist. It had been bothering me for the past couple of days, but it was something I kept just brushing off.

I looked up just in time to see the same guy come up and try and bring down his leg on me. I dove out of the way and got up. I hit him with a right hook. I hissed in pain but followed it with a kick to the jaw. I saw the man go down, and I looked over at Batman who had knocked out the rest of the men out. He also had the Penguin tied up. I heard sirens and saw the flashing lights of the cop cars outside the warehouse windows. Our cue to go.

____

We were back in the Batcave, and I wanted to get out of my uniform. I went to remove my right glove and took a sharp inhale. I looked down at my wrist and inspected it. It was starting to get a little blue. I wiggled my fingers. I tried to think back to when it started hurting. Bruce pulled me out of my thoughts.

"You were sloppy today. You hesitated."

I turned to face him. "Yeah sorry, i um- it won't happen again."

"Good. Don't change we are leaving for Mount Justice in 10 minutes."

I nodded and went to put my glove back on. I bit my lip with the shooting pain it sent and I let out a sigh. Hopefully it would be an easy mission.

____

Wally ran up to me and gave me a high five. I clenched my jaw as I tried to give a smile. "Hey Rob! What's wrong?" "What do you mean?" I said trying to be as inconspicuous as possible. "You just made a weird face that's all" "Oh yeah its noth-" Batman interrupted our conversation by beginning the briefing. Thank god for that timing.

Wally was my best friend, but I knew that if I told him what was going on with my wrist he would tell me to take it easy or something and make a big fuss. I just wanted to go on the mission, and if that meant sucking up the pain of my wrist then so be it.

"We have gotten reports that Sports Master and Cheshire have been on the coast moving large containers. Your mission is to observe and see what are in the containers. You will not engage in combat. This is a stealth mission. I want Robin, Artemis, and Miss Martian to go in to find out what are in the containers the rest of you are on look out."

"Awww come on I don't wanna be lookout." Wally complained. Artemis hit him upside the head. "You're lucky you're even going. Try not to screw this up for us."

"Be ready and on the Bioship in 5 minutes." The team was dismissed. Batman came up to me. "Robin, a word."

____

He closed the door behind him and looked at me. "What's up?" I started. "You have been off your game these past couple of nights on patrol, some even risking you getting hurt. I am letting you go on the mission because you are our best chance of finding out what are in those shipping containers. That being said I will not hesitate to suspend you if you mess up."

He was right I had been off my game. If this is just surveillance then I should be fine. But I love how Batman is so quick to punish me for something he doesn't even know is going on. He just expects me to be perfect like 24/7, and if i'm not then i'm stuck doing drill or training late instead of being with the team.

"Am I clear?"

"Crystal" I said mockingly.

"Good. Now go."

I walked out of the room with the speedster waiting for me. "What was that about you get grounded or something?" He teased. "No but I feel like i'm going to be" I joked back.

"COME ON I WANNA GET THIS OVER WITH" Super boy called from the main room. He was defiantly not a stealthy person nor did he want to be on this mission.

"Geez talk about not feeling the aster."
