Fractured

Part 3

I shimmed down and followed the air vent until I saw that one of the panels was directly over one of the shipping containers. I looked down with Miss M by my side. "What now?" She asked. I looked through the slits. The containers were illuminated by a dim light. I took some tools out of my utility belt and popped off the grate and placed it beside me. I peered down and saw no one.

At this point my wrist was burning. I just wanted to leave, but we came her to get information. I hoisted myself down, and landed on the container with a soft thud. As I got down to open the lid I hear a voice behind me. "Aww Looks like the little Boy Wonder came to play. How cute." I spun around to see Cheshire leaning against one of the containers, "Unfortunately, I can't let you take a sneak peek."

She threw a sai at me, and I dove out of the way looking up to see the sai stick into the container. "Robin did you see what was inside?" I heard Artemis' voice in my head. "Yeah what is taking so long?" Wally's voiced echoed in my head.

"Eh little busy." I dodged a blow from Cheshire and caught her second punch. She kicked me in the side, and I went down. I swept my leg and brought her down with me. I looked over to see Miss Martian lift a container and take pictures of what was inside. I guess I'll be the distraction. I thought to myself.

I rolled to the right just in time to dodge Cheshire pounce on top of me. "Time to go." I did a kip up and jumped on top of the container. I jumped to pull myself back into the air vent. I felt a sharp pain not only in my wrist but also my thigh. I pulled myself up and saw that Cheshire had thrown her other sai into my thigh. I took it out and let a grunt when I did so. I looked down to see Cheshire getting up on the box. I threw down a smoke bomb and heard her cough and gag, and climbed up to the roof. "Go to the bioship I'll catch up."  I warned Artemis and Miss Martian.

I got to the roof, turned back around, and reached into my utility belt. I threw down knock out gas just in case Cheshire was still following close behind. I saw the bioship waiting for me. The back opened up. I ran to the edge of the roof and dove into the ship. As soon as I was in the ship closed and we were off.

I was breathing heavy and laid on the floor. I propped myself up on my elbows and looked up at the team. I nervously chuckled, "Oh hey guys, long time no see. Hey KF, I got you a souvenir." I tossed him Cheshire's sai.

"SWEET!" He took a moment to inspect it then went wide eyed, "HEY! I DIDN'T SCREW IT UP!" Kid Flash yelled enthusiastically and he tried to get a high five from Superboy. Super boy just glared at him and Wally brought his arm down in defeat.

"Way to go Boy Blunder. Now we're all gonna get it from Batman." Artemis said as she sat down, crossing her legs and arms.

I laid back down with a thud and looked at the ceiling. "Batman is gonna kill me." I muttered. "Robin, your leg!" I looked down to see what the Atlantian was talking about. There was a pool of blood that had started forming around my thigh. The adrenaline had made me forget both injuries. I laid my head back, "Eh, its whatever." 

Kaldur tended to my wound as I just laid there thinking about how I was going to explain this. And preparing myself for the yelling Batman was going to give me when I got back.
