*BEEP BEEP BEEP*
I rolled over for the 5th time this week. I slapped my alarm clock that read 0415. I rubbed my eyes and stared at the ceiling. I had been careful not to use my right hand during all the drills which consequently prompted me to gain extra fast reflexes to avoid using my right hand. I tried looking on the bright side, at least I'm just as powerful in my left as I was in my right. I sat up and pulled my feet so they were dangling out of bed. I grabbed the athletic tape from my bedside table and re wrapped my wrist.
I had started to lose the drive to train. I missed my team, and I missed being out on a mission. Bruce and I had been training nonstop then we would patrol, and I would have to get up and do it all again. I don't know how Bruce does it... having to train with me then going on patrol. It was superhuman. I got up and went to the bathroom.
I washed my face and looked up at myself in the mirror. The bags under my eyes had darkened. I sighed and turned off the water.

I looked up to see the rings. Bruce had said that today we were going to work on conditioning. Any other day I would be jumping for joy at the fact that we were going to be doing gymnastics. This was my element, but I knew that I would have to use both hands. No getting around the fact that I would be in pain for the whole training session.
"Thought I'd give you light day." He looked at me with a soft smile. I knew he meant it, he had installed all the equipment when he first took me in. He knew I loved training there, but I didn't want him to see me mess up. I didn't like to make mistakes, especially in front of Bruce.
"Can I start on the beam?" I asked sheepishly. He looked at me with confusion. "I thought you hated beam?" This was true. Beam was my least favorite skill to do, but I also knew I could do flips without having to use my wrist. I know males don't compete beam, but I had grown up doing it in the circus to learn about balance. "I know, but I also never practice it..." I said not even convincing myself that I meant it.
"Oookay? You can start on beam." Bruce said with a puzzled face as he sat on a bench facing the beam.I saw Alfred take a seat next to Bruce. Alfred had always loved to see me when I came up with routines when Bruce first installed the equipment.
I took a deep breath and ran at full speed towards the beam. I jumped doing a front flip and landed on the beam. Not bad for my mount. I pivoted and did a back flip tuck. I looked over at Alfred who gave me a smile and nod. It brought me reassurance and confidence. I pivoted again and kicked my leg up. I then when into a handstand using only my left wrist. I brought my right hand out for balance and brought my feet together so I was straight up and down. I then arched over to do a front walkover. I kicked my other leg into the air then pivoted. I did a split leap, landed, and then threw myself into a backflip pike. I landed and wobbled a bit. I bit my lip and looked back over at Alfred. He put his hand up to motion for me to slow down. I took a deep breath and did the sequence again. I did a standing split leap into a backflip pike. I turned again and did 3 back layouts. I came out of my last one and started to lose my balance. I put my foot in the air to try and counterbalance my weight that was falling off the beam. I recovered and took turned so the back of my heels were almost off the edge. For my dismount, I lifted up into a double backflip and landed with my arms up.
I stood there with heavy breathing. I heard Alfred applause which made me smile. I turned to look at Bruce. "Now rings."
