Every story involving a cabin in the woods turns out to be some reindition of a horror novel or movie.
This is no different.
A group of teens are having a stay-over at one of their friend's cabin. His name is Cal, and he is the host. The difference between this story and the rest of them: Cal owns this cabin.
And he knows he is going to die tonight.
You see, Cal received a letter a couple of months ago.
That letter read like this:If given the opportunity, a women will scream at a man.
If given the voice, a dog would yell at the mailman.
If given the money, the poor would flaunt at the lower man.
If given a gun, a man would shoot another man.
I know what happened at your cabin, Cal, and what happened to her.
9/17/XX
See you there. He tried whatever he could do to understand what the hell the letter meant. Cal had never shot anyone, let alone hurt another soul. And who was this "her" person? His grandmother? His mother? A friend?
What happened at his cabin?
Even Cal, the frightened and sorrowed soul, has forgotten.

PoetryEveryone has dreams and this story just so happens to be based off of one of mine where I found a dead man laying in a box that had a generator in it.
