Cal stood up, confused by who else could have shown up. It wasn't unnatural for some straglers to come along, but it had almost been four hours. So, Cal opened the door, expecting someone other than who was there.

"... Bastry?" Stars grew in his eyes as he picked up his friend.

"Bastry!!!" Cal swung around his friend like they were a small, not heavy in the slightest, dog.

"H-hi Cal..!!" After Cal put his friend down, he noticed that the sky had become cloudy. Was it supposed to rain? Cal glanced over at the small power plant that ran the electricity in the cabin. He would have to cover that later.

"Bastry?" Eventually, the rest of the friend group came to say hi and help their friend with unloading their bags.

" How have you been? I heard your parents made you go to that camp?" The air tightened just by that questioned and Monroe whacked Alexander on the back of his head.

"We promised we wouldn't ask, you moron!" Then, she went to apologize to Bastry, who just laughed at them, waving it off.

"No, no, it's fine. I never ended up going. One: because of my grandma, and two: I ran away as soon as they looked away." Cal looked closer at his friend, wondering how they could have been alive for two years in the wide, wild world.

"How.. Where did you go?" The question slipped past his filter, and Monroe wound her weapon again. (It was her arm.)

"Monroe, it's fine! I just went to my Aunt Jessica's house." Cal tried to think of an Aunt Jessica, but to no avail. So, Bastry leaned over and explained.

"Previously an Uncle." Cal nodded, then smiled at the rest of their friend group.

"Oh yeah! Jessica! How is she doing nowadays?" Cal felt some hair rise of the back of his neck and he stood up, after gaining the answer to his question, though.

"Where are you off to?" A horrible feeling in Cal's stomach protruded and he smiled at Minx.

"To cover the generator. Rain's coming after all."
