"PRIVACY IS A THING, YOU KNOW!" The shadow scuried away as Bastry's voice cresendoed at it.
"And now my eardrums are not working. Great." Cal stuck his pinky in his ear, shaking it around for effect.
"Touch me with that and I will make sure you burn in the seventh pit of hell for the rest OF ETERNITY!!" Cal moved his waxy pinky towards his friend, laughing maniacally.
"Are you afwaid of a wittle waaaxy?" Bastry's eyes almost popped out of their head.
"I'm more afraid of that feckin' voice-!" Cal continued on, eventually chasing Bastry around the room until another crackle of lightning struck just outside.
A scream rang throughout the cabin and Cal dashed to the source, Bastry hot on his heels.
"What happened??!" Geoff was holding onto Jaime as Jaime was laughing hard enough that tears were streaming down her red face.
"It's not funny!"
"What's not??" Bastry chimed up from beside Cal, both of their hearts rapidly beating.
"The scream was Geoff. It was because of the lightning." Minx spoke up from the living room, hardly looking up from her picture book. She was still chuckling though, even if it was a small amount of giggles.
Then, a booming laughter came from Alexander, who scared Andrew with it, which caused him to start laughing even harder. He was doubled over, clutching his stomach and Cal just gave out a sigh, chuckling lightly himself.
"I take it Bastry's almost unpacked?" Monroe chimed in, smug as hell.
Cal's face definitely darkened a few shades of red, but Bastry just dug their hand in their pocket and pulled out a bag of spaghetti. They then opened the bag and tossed a slimy noodle at Monroe, who shrieked and tried dodging the wet noodle attack, but ended up with it draping across her face.
This just caused another uproar of laughter by everyone else, and had Monroe chasing Bastry around the cabin.
Everyone quieted down after Cal had Bastry apologize- through tears of laughter- and finally started to actually unpack everything else.
This is when Cal made a grievous realization.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Andrew placed his hand on his best friend's shoulder, noticing the drastic mood change.
"I left everything in my car."
