Scorpius kneeled on the seat of the compartment, his hands pressed against the glass as he searched the crowd for his family.

His smile brightened when he saw them but dimmed as guilt swarmed him when he saw his Mum crying into his Dad's shoulder.

Mum looked up to Dad and smiled as he pressed a kiss to her lips.

Now, normally, Scorpius would've stuck his tongue out and whined, "Yuck", but this time Scorpius smiled fondly at his parents.

Scorpius knew Hermione and Draco loved each other more than anything else in the world and it was very evident.

His parents love had set his relationship standards quite high.

Scorpius had heard the stories about how the two had grown up together and hated each other but were forced together by some Marriage Law.

Scorpius thought that the Law had been unfair and stupid but he couldn't really hate it because let's just be honest - it's the reason he's here.

Scorpius was startled away from the window when his compartment door was thrown open.

Albus Potter stood in the doorway, his hair insanely tangled and shirt slightly torn, but grinning.

"Merlin," Scorpius' eyes widened, "What happened?"

"I was an involuntary participant in a dogpile," Albus threw himself onto the seat across from him and sighed, "I was the last one to get on the train because Mum was giving me the whole 'If you don't write every day and update us on how many detentions James actually gets, I will not hesitate to come to that castle young man' speech. I got on the train and a bloody crowd of girls was waiting for me."

Scorpius shook his head at Albus, "How have you made it this long in your life as Harry Potter and Ginny Potter's son without learning how to hide from crowds?"

Albus shrugged, "I don't know."

"You liar," Scorpius smirked at him, "You just don't want to hide from the crowds."

The train whistle sounded and the train groaned as it went into motion.

Scorpius immediately returned to his place at the window and smiled as he waved goodbye to his family.

Little Leo was grinning as he waved his chubby two year old arm while Alya was crying while pointing at Scorpius as the train moved.

Mum was trying to wave goodbye to Scorpius while Leo bounced wildly in her hold. Dad was grinning as he shouted, "I love you Scorp!" over the chaos of the station.

Scorpius grinned and sat back down as they disappeared.

Albus had moved to the window to wave to his parents too before sliding back into his seat with a somber look on his face.

"What's wrong?" Scorpius asked, cautiously.

Albus shook his head and sighed in frustration, "You know how I've been really nervous about going to Hogwarts?"

Scorpius nodded and shifted on the seat so that he was leaning against one of the walls of the compartment, "Yeah, you said you didn't think you could live up to everyone's expectations after seeing James and how popular he is."

Albus nodded slightly, "Yeah, but it's more than that."

"What do you mean?"

"I asked my Dad if he would be disappointed in me if I got into Slytherin and he went off into all this deep stuff about the people I was named after and how Severus was a Slytherin and he was a great man and everything," Albus looked up to Scorpius, "I feel like he was just saying that because he had to. I mean literally everyone on my Mum's side went into Gryffindor, and my Dad and his parents went into Gryffindor, James went into Gryffindor. There's a part of me that wants to ask the sorting hat to put me in Gryffindor just so that I won't be the first Potter to be in Slytherin and 'betray the family' and all that. But I don't feel like a Gryffindor... I- I don't know what I am. But I'm not bloody James or my Dad or my Mum or even Lily."
