Lost but Not Found -- Dramione

We Got Potter!

Scorpius gasped for breath as the giant finally put him back on the ground. 

"Sorry 'bout that!" the giant chuckled deeply, which caused the ground to rumble slightly, "I'm jus' so happy 'ter finally met you lot; Scorpius, Rose, and Albus 'o course."

This must be Hagrid, Scorpius thought as he put the pieces together. 

Hagrid gave Albus a cautious look, "Where's that brother of yers, James?"

"He's a second year now, Hagrid, he's taking the carriages with the rest of the school."

Hagrid sighed, "Only a secon' year? He's a real handful ya know?"

Albus sighed, "Well, at least he's living up to his name. Grandpa James would be proud."

"Alright firs' years gather 'round!" Hagrid shouted to the crowd of nervous and excited first years. 

Hagrid led the first years to the boats and Scorpius, Rose, and Albus piled into it.

Rose shrieked as Scorpius dipped his hand into the water and sent a stream of water in her direction.

Albus joined in by rocking the boat back and forth, causing Rose's face to pale to almost as white as Scorpius' skin and her knuckles to turn white as she clung to the sides of the boat, "Albus I swear to Merlin, if you tip this boat I will hex you to the next century."

"You sound like my Mum," Scorpius and Albus said simultaneously before grinning at each other.  

Rose suddenly gasped, "Look!"

"Woah," Scorpius breathed.

The castle suddenly came into view and it took your breath away. 

Suddenly all the nerves dissolved and Scorpius was so excited he could hardly breathe. 

The three first years were so focused on the castle they practically fell overboard as their boat ran ashore.

Albus and Scorpius pushed each other out of the way as they eagerly scramble out of the boat.

Rose grips the edges of the boat but yelps as the boat slips back into the water, "Uh Scorp..."

Scorpius reaches for the boat but it's too far out in the water.

He was about to jump into the lake to pull the boat back in when a huge slimy tentacle erupts from the water and latched onto the boat before tugging it through the water to the shore. 

Scorpius grabbed the boat once it got to land and helped Rose out of it.

"What the bloody hell was that?" Rose gasped as she turned to the lake. 

The tentacle waved before sliding itself back into the water. 

"I see you lot 'ave met the Giant Squid," Hagrid grinned as the first years continued to come ashore. 

"That's what that thing was?" Albus exclaimed.

Hagrid nodded, beaming, "Course! Now, le's get you lot to the sortin' ceremony."

Scorpius and Albus became eerily quiet as they made their way up to the entrance of the castle and into the castle. 

Rose casts worried looks in their directions when the group of first years stop just before the entrance to the Great Hall.

Minerva McGonagall walked out of the Great Hall and stopped dead in her tracks when she saw Scorpius, Rose, and Albus standing in a row in front of the group of eager first years.
