At a small antique shop
Sara [to her assistant]:
Maya can you please bring the accounts and invoice records. I need to check if they are matching.
Maya:
Sara, you have already done that yesterday.
Sara [sadly]:
Oh yes, I forgot. I guess I was so used to father doing all these things that I feel that I might miss something. This shop has been run by our family for over 100 years. I don't want to ruin a good going family business.
Maya [trying to assure Sara]:
Your father knew that after he dies, this shop is going to be inherited by you. He had been training you for this since you were a little girl. We all including your father have faith in you. So don't worry, you can do this.
Sara:
Yes, you are right, I always wanted to run this shop. I have been so fascinated by these old artifacts, they are so rare and interesting. I mean some of them are from the time of Before Christ and who knows some of it may still have its magical charms as per old myths and folklore.
Maya:
Anyways in today's time, even science has advanced so much that there is hardly any difference between science and magic.
[Maya left to attend one customer and Jafar enters the shop.]
Sara [sitting at the billing counter]:
Jafar, what a surprise. It has been a long time since we met last.
Jafar:
Yes, I had been traveling through Turkey and the Middle East for the past 6 months, collecting unique objects.
Sara [excitedly]:
Really! You are one of our best antique sellers Jafar. Our buyers loved those antique pieces from Africa that you sold us last year.
Jafar [happily]:
Then let me show you this new stuff, they are far better and exclusive than last year's.
Sara [eyeing the customer and whispering to Jafar]:
Not here, let's go to the backroom and check them out.
In the backroom of the shop
[Jafar laid all his collections and started telling about each object one by one.]
Jafar:
Check this lamp out, its whereabouts are tied back to the time of fairytales. It is speculated to be the lamp of Aladdin. But of course, right now no Jeannie appears just by rubbing it.
Sara [chuckling]:
Jafar showing me the lamp of Aladdin is just so ironic. Anyways I believe all these are good stuff. You can leave them here and Maya will settle your payment.
[Jafar leaves the shop satisfied with his payment.]
Maya:
All work for the day is done. Is there anything else you need my help with?
Sara:
No thanks, Maya. You may leave for the day. I'll just go to the backroom and do the remaining invoicing of the objects we bought from Jafar.
