Chapter 8

Third Person's POV ((I'd probably write with third person's pov from now on, unless I change my mind hahaha))

When word of the fact that Hanamiya beat up Kazuki reached the Hanamura household, Rena's father flew off the handle. He had taken a liking to Kazuki because of his "pure" and "innocent" attitude, so when he heard that Hanamiya was Rena's boyfriend, he got even angrier. Rena and his father both had a bad mood by dinnertime.

"Rena," her father called her as the family just finished eating.

She turned to her father and asked, "What is it?"

"I'd like to have a talk with you later on," he said with a rather serious tone.

~~a few minutes later....~~

"I FORBID YOU TO DATE YOUR BOYFRIEND."

"Why?!"

"He's too violent. That will lead you to no good."

"But Arata is--"

"Arata is different!"

"How so? You're being unfair," she said. His father's decision came as a shock, but right now, she's really angry for "violence" being the reason why.

"But otoo-san, Hanamiya-senpai is better than me. How can he no good for nee-san?!" Arata interrupted.

"Stay out of this, Arata. Gosh, you even call him "senpai"! He must've influenced you to be a gang leader. That's why I made you go to that low-classed school. Rena, why must you choose "someone like that"?" he said in an insulting tone.

"What do you mean?!" the two siblings shouted at the same time. Arata was mad at him for calling his school "low-classed" while Rena got mad at him for calling Hanamiya "someone like that". "It's not low-classed. It's average!" "How can you insult him when you don't know him?!"

"It's a school for trash! Arata, I'm going to have to transfer you some time soon. You will be better than them. Your suffering will be over. Rena, I don't even need to know him."

"What? They're not trash, and I don't want to transfer!" Arata protested.

"I'll talk to you later, Arata," he said while sending him away and facing Rena.

"Why won't you meet him?"

"Someone whose violent like him is not suited for you!"
((A/N: that awkward moment when Rena is more violent than Hanamiya >.>))

"Why do you insist so much that he's violent?!"

"He beat up Yoshikawa-kun, you know!" he shouted with a deep sigh. "How can I talk to his father after this?" he continued with while shaking his head. "Yoshikawa-kun insisted that it was nothing much, and that it was his fault, but that's impossible! The kind Yoshikawa-kun would never do anything to hurt others. He's too nice. There must be a problem with that boyfriend of yours, so break up with him!"

"But, otoo-san--"

"BREAK UP WITH HIM!" he demanded. "Anyway, I forbid you to see him, you hear me?"

"At least, let me apologize to him!"

"No!" he said sharply while walking away, not letting Rena talk any further.

"DAD, YOU IDIOT!!!!" she yelled, loud enough for her father to hear from his room. She ran to her room, locking the door and screamed. "I FEEL SO POWERLESS AND WEAK! DAMN IT!" Her tears began to fall before she even noticed it. She didn't even know how to respond to Kazuki when she's really hating him right now. She knew that it was not right for her to do that, but she can't help it.

Then, she received a text. As she read the name, her eyes widened, and more tears began to flow. 'Why?' she thought as she read the name of the person who texted her. 'Hanamiya Makoto,' she read it again. She could've sworn he hated her after seeing that scene. Even though she knew he was jealous, she still did not know what to say to him. She opened the text and read it and re-read it a second time.

[I'm outside your house.] it said.

She couldn't believe it and checked the window. He was there. She quickly went down the stairs only saying that she was going to the convenience store to her mom who asked her where she was going. When she opened the door, she confirmed that it was really Hanamiya.

More tears flowed down her cheeks, but this time of happiness.

"Makoto!" she called to him as she hugged him. But, she remembered their fight just a few hours ago and quickly attempted to let go when Hanamiya hugged her tighter.

"I'm sorry," he apologized. "Sorry, Rena.." he murmured and let go. She slowly nodded. They walked to the park near Rena's home and sat on a bench to talk properly.

"I'm sorry too, Makoto."

"You don't really need to apologize. It's my fault. I knew the situation and suspected him from the start, but I was too jealous. I needed to cool down my head, but instead I took my anger out on you and that guy. I held myself back though."

"Yeah.."

After seconds of silence, Rena decided to talk again.

"My dad actually heard of it. Now, he's against us going out," she told him.

"Sorry."

"It's--"

"Maybe it's best if we broke up--"

*SLAP*

A big slap hit him a second right after he said it.

"No, Makoto. I will find a way to fix it," she said strictly.

"Fine. I wasn't serious about it. I will help you with that," he said. "I won't let you go no matter what," he said with a smirk.

She slightly blushed at what he said. "Idiot. I forgave you too easily!"

He laughed. "You love me that much."

"Yeah," she confirmed as he slightly blushed too.

"I love you too," he said quietly.

She smirked. "I know~!"
