Angel held her husbands hand as they sat outside the doctors office in the waiting room. "When I said I'd come with you I didn't mean I'd come here to go to the mall afterwards. "Baby, we have to go by the mall to get a few odds and ends." "Odds and ends? Why do I have a feeling that it's for stuff we can't afford?" "Yes, we can babe..it's a sale." James got up to walk to the fish tank. To observe the many kinds of fish. "I wonder how many gallons this thing is..and if any of them have died at fast paces?" Angel shrugged. "Don't know." She was more interested in the baby magazine. She felt in her heart she wanted another baby eventually. She hadn't told James yet..but she wanted a baby to feel the soft skin, smell the aroma of baby powder, the cheeks. Dylan was getting older and losing his baby face week by week. "Hey, James?" "What would you think of another baby?" "Uh, what?" "Baby?" "Another James jr?" "Yeah" "well, I guess it would be alright. I mean Dylan is getting on up there in age...and all." Angel grabbed him to sit down. "Oh James, you know he will have to learn how to share but I think he would make a great big brother and I think Kayla will love getting a sister this time..poor darling of ours don't know what to do with all those brothers." Angel took a breath. "No, she don't." Mrs. Angel Timmons." The nurse called out. Angel walked up and left her husband in the waiting room. She followed the nurse to one of the rooms. She laid her purse down and grabbed another magazine. Before she opened the first page two doctors walked in. Angel felt her heart drop. Why were there two of them? Usually it was a doctor and nurse? " Good Afternoon Mrs. Timmons, how are you?" Both doctors reached out to shake her hand. " I am fine, how are you?" "Oh, were doing well..thanks for asking."  "No problem." "We'll, we are going to get right down to business..we got your biopsy results back and your bloodwork..We're sorry to inform you that we found a.." Angel felt her eyes becoming teary and her balance was getting a little unsteady. "Please..before you go any further, could you, would you get my husband, please?" "Oh, yes..right away...we should of asked you before we started discussing this..we are sorry..nurse, please go get Mr. Timmons." A nurse went and got Mr. Timmons. James walked in and looked at the doctors then his wife whose face looked white. "What's going on?" "James, please come here." Angel started crying. She tried to deny the possibility that she could have the unthinkable. "Mr. Timmons, we are sorry to inform you that your wife Angel has stage four breast cancer. To make matters worse, sir uh..your wife is five months expecting." Angel felt a rush of joy. Another baby? Growing in her right now? Another pair of little feet running in her house? "Sir, in this particular situation makes it a little difficult to determine the right choice for treatment. Since the cancer has reached stage four however, we have an option to terminate the pregnancy that will be  giving your wife a higher chance of surviving by  giving her high dosages of chemo." Angel stopped. "What? Kill my baby? What?" "Mrs. Timmons, stage four is very serious and if we don't act immediately this cancer will take its toll on you, you and your husband could always try again if you decide to have more children...this is not a good time." Angel wiped her eyes and leaned her head into James shoulder. "How long will you give me and my husband to make a decision?" "By the end of next week, we have to move quickly." James held her close. "We understand that part.." "James, I cant do it..they can't ask me to kill our baby like that." "I know sweetheart..I know." The doctors nodded. "Here are some resources for you..here is my card and Doctor Philmon's card as well..it is urgent you get back with us." Angel nodded. James held her close, taking the information. "We will be in touch doctor." "Very good, I will see you in a week then." James nodded. Angel grabbed his shirt and cried. They walked to the front desk to schedule the next appointment. James talked to the receptionist to make the next upcoming appointment. While Angel felt dead inside, no words just silence.   The news was a balance of good and bad but was there a in-between? Or not?
