"Mrs. Timmons, we have told you what is to happen if we aren't aggressive with this breast cancer." Angel had time to pray and think about her limited options. She knew what she wanted. The night before..she finally had her heart to heart talk with James. They shared their bed that night after placing the kids into bed. A tender moment, they lay next to each other.."are you sure you want to do this?" James asked. Angel smiled weakly, "yes." "Really?" James asked placing his hand over her moist cheek. "Yes, James." "Babe, I want what is best for you." "I know that." "I mean when you had hard labor with Kayla, I was worried that I was going to lose you then and told them to tie your tubes to prevent you from getting in that situation again..and now." "James, we both decided on this..I didn't want to leave you either. It just wasn't my time..I'll pull through this..you'll see." "You might lose all your hair." He touched her soft brown locks. Angel pulled her hair to the side. "Eh, It will grow back..no biggie." "You're really okay with this are you?" "James, there is not only my life at stake but our unborn baby too..what chance will he or she have if I don't fight this thing." "Well, none." "I know it is scary..but I have prayed about this and I know that in the long run I am making the best decision." "Angel, my Angel..if anything happens to you..I don't know if I can.." "Shush, James nothing is going to happen to me.." she tried reassuring him by giving him a tender kiss. "James, I am not going anywhere."
Angel looked at the doctors and kept her hands folded. "This is what I want Doctor and I won't change my mind." "Very well, you know the risks and we have informed you about any and every possibility concerning this cancer and you are fine with your choice of mild treatment because of your fetus." "Doctor, it is a baby..please don't make it sound like the baby is the cause or a problem here." Angel found herself growing annoyed hearing how her choice was considered dangerous and a bad one at that. The doctor nodded placing his glasses and turned to his forms, "very well, we must begin treatment the beginning of October..you will have symptoms of all kinds, hair loss, nausea, vomiting, paleness of skin.." Angel nodded holding James hand from behind her. "Yes, I'll be ready to begin treatment then." "Oh, let's also you have talked to your Obstetrician correct?" "Yes, I have I will discover the babies gender in another week." "Excellent, well here is the information needed for future things I will see you then." Angel nodded. "Yes sir." Angel walked out the door, placing her purse over her shoulder as James shook the doctors hand. James walked her to the elevator, "You know you handled yourself good back there baby..stood your ground for our baby..that is what I love about you..you always have that burning fire to do what you feel is right..even if it cost you something." Angel smiled kissing him. "Well, I can't get all the credit..I get support from you James, I am the salt you are the pepper." James laughed. "That there sums it up."
