Kyle knew something wasn't right with his mama. She had been pregnant before, but not to where she remained sick all the time. He walked in to her room to ask about going to Pete's house when he saw her in the bathroom, he watched in horror as parts of her dark hair started falling out while she brushed it. Kyle walked out before she could notice and went to the back porch and sat there in silence until his dad got home from work. "Son, what's the matter?" "Dad, what's really wrong with mama?" "Well, you know she is pregnant and that can make a woman act a little different..and.." "No dad, it's more than that and you know it! Please tell me the truth!" James took and deep breath before sitting next to Kyle who demanded an answer. "Son, I don't know how to say this without being straightforward your mama, is pregnant." "Yes.." "but." "But what dad?" James hesitated for a moment. "Your mama has stage four breast cancer." Kyles face went numb, emotions were hard to come by. "Cancer?! How? Dad, ha Mama was and still is one of the most healthiest people I know! She did everything right, she never drank a drop, was extremely athletic in school, watched her weight..she..." "I know son, I know." "But the baby..will she make it?" "Yes, the doctors are sure the baby will make it to term or close enough." "Son, your mother done something that some people could never do." "What's that?" "She put your sisters life before her own." "She knew she had cancer and when the doctors told her options...she chose your sisters life over her own." "Who else knows about this?" "Close friends and family." "Just not your own children huh?" Kyle went to walk away. "Son, your mama didn't want any of you to worry about her, just to act the same way you always have." Kyle exhaled. "Gonna be hard to do that now that I know..dad, her hair is falling out now and Liam especially Princess is gonna ask why so you might want to go ahead and tells us all." James took a deep breath. "I suppose I will.."

James walked in placing his keys on the countertop, Angel was stirring a pot of spaghetti. She managed to place James's old Florida Gator hat over her head. So he wouldn't notice. "Hey babe! Your home, I have here spaghetti with some fresh garlic bread in the oven that should be ready in about eight minutes. James walked up behind her at the stove pulling her around. She smiled as big as she could. Then James reached over and removed his hat from her head. Angel's eyes filled with tears. She put her head down. James picked her chin and smiled. He shook his head. "Angel, you are so beautiful.." Angel leaned forward and placed her head on his shoulder. "James, sometimes I just want to close my eyes and think about when we were kids..life was just easy..and all we did was dream of our future." James smiled. "I know, I know."
Angel touched her thin black locks. "Well, it was suppose to come out after epidural..but I guess I better get used to it..huh?" James laughed. "Your just as beautiful as the day I first saw you in 8th grade. Poofy hair and all..those heels you wore for class photos were just perfect on you." Angel laughed.."my lipstick didn't look half that bad either."
